So i was wondering ,why does toon town have to be shut down for the fireworks show? are they launching them out of there or is it just a shortage of manpower?

Toontown is in the fallout zone for the fireworks, so they shut it down for the same reason that they shut down the part of Fantasyland that is near the castle. The fireworks actually launch from behind toontown, in front of the employee parking structure.

I worked there until about two weeks ago. It is because, as stated above, due to fireworks fallout. In fact, on nights with fireworks, almost all of the Toontown CMs are scheduled to work until 10:30, and we go to the back of the castle to assist the Fantasyland CMs in guest control. A couple people also help with Small World on nights with high winds. This is because once they get the all-clear, the FL CMs have to go back to power up the rides - so we deal with the mobs waiting for Peter Pan! (And the few others who care about anything else.) :)

Toontown usually closes at 8:30 PM due to the fireworks.
