Last time we were at DL, I believe this was back inside the park. And then I read for Spring Break they moved it outside the park again (like it was for Christmas). We leave May 11th and return the 14th; where will they be this time? LOL My 70+ year old grandparents are coming on this trip (their very first time!) and will probably need the ECVs at least once. Thanks for any and all info! I am super excited!!! LOL It's always a real blessing to see the magic with newbies. hee hee

I think the tents are down, and the rentals have returned to the front of each park for awhile.

But once you get to the park, look over to the north east corner of the Main Entry Plaza near the Kennel. If you see a couple of Large White Tents, that is where you need to rent the ECV.

If there are no tents, then go to the traditional rental locations near the individual park turnstiles. If you are not sure where that is, ask the CM taking your ticket to point you in the right direction.

As of Tuesday, they were outside the park gates. But there are still signs inside the parks that say the move is "temporary," so who knows when they will move back.

Can the ECVs be taken between the 2 parks if the rental location is inside the park turnstiles? My mom will be needing one when I'm there next week.

When I went in 2002, you couldn't leave the parks with them. In January 2006, you could go between the 2 parks no prob. What was the difference? In 2002 the ECVs weren't outside the parks and in 2006 they were. So, I guess it is 50/50. In 2002 tho, because my Aunt was so incapable of walking they allowed a cast member to "escort" her on the ECV to DCA.

If both parks are open, then yes, you can take a stroller, manual wheelchair or ECV thru the Main Entry Plaza to the other park. (You cannot take them past the security check).

As soon as DCA closes, then they stop allowing the rentals into the Main Entry Plaza area, and you must leave them inside of the Disneyland turnstiles.
