I'm not really concerned about them making changes. I think the end result will be a better Disneyland. When you consider they don't have the luxury of just expanding, they have to make changes in order to improve the park. That means (unfortunately at times) that we have to say goodbye to some of the old features and attractions that once were.

The day they take out all of the classics and replace them all with pixar movie themed attractions, then I might become concerned.

We rode Mansion on Sunday, and we loved the changes to the attic.

Not really sure why it's necessary to start 3 billion threads about changes at the resort...

I wish they'd change those paper toilet seat covers in the bathrooms. They've got such bad scoring that I can't punch out the hole without ripping the thing to shreads!!!

Is that part of the "everything" you were referring to?

You know at first i was sad about changes. then after viewing a site that had pictures of the "old" stuff I realized that in my memory disneyland was cooler back when then now but in reality it was my childhood memories....I like that things are new, the "old" DL would be outdated, sure I thought POTC was cool as a kid but if it never changed when I went back now I would think wow this is a "stupid" ride since there are so many more technologize because I remember a ride as child that was "up to date".

in short memory is distorted, I would love for it to stay the same but my memory of it isn't what is really is

So, what are all the changes that has you in an uproar? Subs? We've discussed that at length. POTC? Yup, and we laid flowers. HM? Been there, done that too.

So what is new? Or did I hit the nail on the head?

Oh wait, I heard mention of a new Pixar ride in DCA. Personally, I welcome any change for DCA, it has to be better than what it was when it opened.

Nooooo, more a nagging question: when did the escalator disappear from Tland? Used to take you up to Space Mt. line (yeah, been away for a while).

I save being concerned for the price of gas and state of CA schools ...

No, we didn't LEAVE the flowers there, we just put them there long enough to take pics.

Change is necessary. I have fond memories of the DL of 40 years ago, I sometimes wish I could ride the People Mover or The Adventure Thru Inner Space one more time, heck I'd even like to tour the House Of The Future again just for kicks, but the truth is that the whole place would become stagnant if it didn't change with the times. Trust me on this one. I've been going to DL for enough decades to know. ( I still think of Fantasyland as the "new" Fantasyland)
When I feel nostalgic I listen to my CDs of classic ride music and narrations.
