me and my hubby are going late in october, and both of us have messed up knees. (he dislocated his right knee back in high school a few years ago, and mine is injured due to a slip and fall at work). i can't walk too far without it seizing up on me, also have a hard time doing any stairs, and his acts up every now and then. would it be advisable to even get a wheelchair for our entire trip, or just when one of us needs it?

Just a thought, but why not split the use of an ECV and you can swap off? My Dad and I swapped one back and forth after one of my ankle surgeries - he got the walking in that he needed, and I was able to get off my ankle when I had to.

My basic rule of thumb when a Guest is questioning whether or not to use it, is to respond with a Yes. I've never had anyone come back to me and say 'nahhh, wasn't necessary.' It's more like 'geez, park was so much larger than we thought, and it was a knee-saver.'
