me and my hubby are going back to disneyland from oct. 30- nov. 3, and i'm looking around trying to figure out what's gonna be open and closed. this trip is our treat to ourselves for reaching our one year wedding anniversary. that, and we got married there too. if anyone has any info or other websites to check out for info, please let me know. he wants to go to see HMH, and i wanna go trick or treating, and also nov. 3rd will be the 12th year anniversary of when my mom died. so it'll be a bit special for us.

ANY info will be greatly appreciated!!!

I will be there the same time. Expect It's A Small World to be closed for installing the holiday overlay. River Belle Terrace will probably be closed by then, as will the monorail. That should be it, unless something changes.

Usually right around Veterans Day. I think it was on the 11th of November this last year when the decorations went up..

Yes it was, I was very bummed out because on our early Nov. trip the year before they were up around Nov. 1st. Someone else had told me that it is a general rule that they like to have them up by the 1st of Nov.(1st week anyway) I emailed DL last year to see if they would be up in time for our trip and they replied "that due to the 50th celebration the Christmas decor would be a little later", so who knows what will happen this year!

I want to say it was the sixth of November in 2004, and the eighth of November in 2003. I am pretty sure it hasn't been on the first for at least the past four years.

We went Wed. Nov. 3 - Sat. Nov. 6 in 2004 (date is on all our photos) and the huge Christmas tree was up and Christmas deco's everywhere, even ISWH was up and going. Maybe DL posted that as the official date, but to us it looked like everything was up.
(Didn't mean to say 1st I was thinking 1st week)

In 2006 We went Nov. 2 - 5 and very little was up. Just a few things around frontierland, here and there, no tree and no ISWH.

LOL! I was thinking, "Ooh, tinker3 has a T.A.R.D.I.S! Wonder if I could borrow it for my son's history project."

We usually go the week before Thanksgiving, and everything is always up and running. In 2005, we went just after Veteran's Day and all was good to go.

2004 we were there for Halloween and we saw about 4 guys digging like their lives were in jeopardy. When we arrived back the next day, Nov 1 the tree was up and main street was decorated with Christmas decorations. It is such a wonderful time at Disneyland that time of the year, no crowds and such.

Who? :p

Wouldn't that be the ultimate? You can travel to anywhere and any time. Don't like the changes to PotC, just go back to 1967. Want to see how it differs from WDW, just shoot over to Florida. Want to see what it will be like 10 years from now, just hop in the TARDIS.

Provided we had one with properly working time/space coordinate controls. I'd hate to aim for Anaheim 1967 and end up in Anaheim 1067.

Good point. But then you wouldn't need an attraction for Nature's Wilderness, or the prehistoric world diorama. You could just hit the real thing.

Hi All,

A friend may be coming to CA for the first time around the end of October or early November, and we may do a Dland trip.

Any info available for those weeks? We would only do a weekday trip-- not Sat/Sun. The DLR website doesn't have any info listed yet.

Does anyone know about hours of operation (or approx)?
Do we know for sure what will be closed?
HMH is open by then... Is everything else decorated for Xmas?
How about parades/shows-- any details?

Thanks so much!
KC ;)

If you're planning to go to the Mickey's Halloween Treat, make sure to get your tickets soon...last year they sold out - one night is already sold out...

Here's a Link to the tickets (http://attractiontickets.tickets.com/buy/TicketTrans?storeID=DLR&productGroupID=DLR_PG_SO_MHT&tokens=Yjl75NxINb5NXriV%2ByuwljDDDJx2gLbk0TIfLDi63 tB9CR1jdhbf7dUI4hJ7eQhixoR06kHziHIo9oocMBdOWvHB%2B 1zz3s7h65xXOBpAc%2B%2FVRnmlv67B1XT20T392vFhYUI%2Fq hjKxkMGBi4QkoKFQAVY7CiN01WC1c4YbCEUZOu2DVCto85j1H6 QQrLKAwkIWuZoj%2BQLBd7cUqvbpZzKCpGCv0qBbNzjgec9Y8m f9UAz8bld9clw032EmuakXsl5agFrq7Srg32mHtpBS%2BKK51r IViepGVtZfMv0nuXbWCTYxxAo%2FsN1crbqtRYxxc93HaBTreo n0TnoV9X9Zn5N0TjkY21QYUcPHaBTreon0TlPTbeN%2FaYMJVs pk%2B%2FWk%2BRmUU0fmGmC3WawLTl4t%2F7CLO2l8koWath9u YhtVfNAJx2CGhB%2BSYmE0CV6ce783KndnuIWhxo8%2FgP47gp xyEfaFLy%2Fgek9Oy35LExNwiZpMvMY29kyorFzJr9kxpU5hAq D)

ok.. quick update. due to budget problems, we've had to shorten the trip (and we're bringing a friend who hasn't been to DL since before DCA opened  ). we're down to only 3 days for both parks, and now i'm not even sure we'll get to see fantasmic or any fireworks :crying:

anyone have any new info on what's going on from 10/30 to 11/1?

please? i'll beg.....

im a vet to the time frame due to my bday being on nov.1st - usually the only thing i end up really missing from my trips are fantasmic and the fireworks.... but the holiday haunted mansion makes up for it a bit ;)
