i'm staying one night at the Paradise Pier and then the next at the Disneyland hotel. is it possible to get my luggage transported to the other hotel without me actually having to escort it there? or is it too dangerous (i.e. my luggage would get lost)? thanks! :D

We transfered from GCH to the Disneyland Hotel during out June trip. We DID end up losing a swim suit somewhere in the move, but I would say that was our fault (it was just loose on top of one our our bags) more than Disney's.

Kimmybear,

Two years ago, we switched from GCH to PP for one extra night. We called the GCH Bell Desk, and they volunteered to take all of our luggage to the PP Bell Desk.

While the bellman transferred our luggage in the morning, we went to the park, and waited until the afternoon to check in at PP. Everything worked out fine.

We've done it several times but just to let you know, between tips if you have a lot of luggage, it gets expensive! Last time, we moved from PP to DH and both the bellman wanted tips! The one that came and got it from our room at PP said they don't share or pool tips and since DH tipped $2/bag and I had a lot of stuff(they even count little things like the kids backpack and buildabear box, the double tip ended up costing $50 just to move not counting coming in and leaving tips! If you can, just take it yourself. It is best to go check in early anyway even if you don't get your room right away. I had no problems or worries about stuff getting lost even sent my laptop over in my suitcase, told them and they put a fragile sticker on it. Hmmm, they were so nice that is probably why the tips were so big-lol!

WHOA! that's a lot in tips! we've got about 8 bags max and at $2/bag? that's more than i'm willing to pay, esp. because my friends are very capable of carrying their own stuff. i'm doing the exact same thing- moving from PP to DL- and if i don't have enough time to move everything myself, i'll ask the bell hops to transfer it. but carrying it myself seems like a better option. :D
