For you Disney train fans who might need a DLRR fix, but can't afford Disneyland's entry price, the E.P. Ripley will be on static display at the Fullerton Railroad Days.

This original steam engine from the Disneyland Railroad is coming to Fullerton Railroad Days on May 6th and 7th 2006. This is the pride of the Disneyland Railroad built over 50 years ago and pulling passengers around the park ever since. Walt Disney was the first engineer of the E P Ripley and showed it off on opening day July 17, 1955.

Fullerton Railroad days is held at the Fullerton Transportation Center at Pomona and Santa Fe avenues adjacent to the AMTRAK & Metrolink depot in downtown Fullerton. Fullerton Railroad days is open free of charge to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. There is plenty for the whole family to do including tours of new and old full size rail equipment, 12 different operating model railroads, free children’s train rides on the street, delicious food, continuous entertainment, vendors of railroad merchandise, community information booths, and get a chance to enter the cab of the E P Ripley. Come by TRAIN, car, bus, bicycle, feet, or anyway you can to this free event.
