I was recently asked to be on a panel to evaluate some student's artwork and this was one of the paintings:

It was titled something along the lines of, "A Christmas Shop In Paris"...but I thought it looked an awful lot like "La Boutique de Noel" in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. That address of "35" might be a giveaway too, as the Xmas shop does sit next to Club 33 (address: 33 Royal Street). But I'm not 100% sure that's the shop's address at Disneyland and can't find any photos.

The student wasn't around to ask, but I think it's Disneyland. What do you think? And don't worry. It's not going to get them in trouble or anything! :)

Hah! I'm gonna say yes...

check it out (http://www.mickeynews.com/Parks/Disneyland/displaypicture.asp_Q_catagory_E_shp_A_id_E_DLBouti queNoel_A_image_E_image2)

It's hard to see in this picture, but the red storefront next to this picture of the doorway to "La Boutique de Noel" in Disneyland looks too similar for it to be a coincedence...

Looks close, but not exact, according to a photo well down in this old Park Update (http://www.mouseplanet.com/articles.php?art=dl040119xx).

I would say absolutely! Even has the blue trim form the store to the right! That's pretty funny. Great job noticing, and thanks for sharing!

Yeah. Seems this young artist took more "artistic license" in naming their piece, than in the actual piece itself. :)

But seeing as New Orleans Square is itself a "fake" of the real New Orleans, I guess she stayed true to theme in picking Paris as it's fake location. Although personally I think "Article truqué d'un article truqué" might have been a good tagline to add. ;)

The accent on the sign is wrong. Not Noél but Noël.

You never know. It may be that they've never been to Disneyland, and based in on a photo. Not knowing about Le Boutique de Noel, they may have assumed that it was in Paris.
