Okay, my husbands crazy cousin who thinks she's an expert on absolutely everything (vs. me who is an expert on Disneyland ;) ) just put out a challenge to me and told me that she bought a PAP instead of the Deluxe because she was told that she could get into Club 33 with the PAP. I very boldly told her "okay, no" because I figured if all it took were the PAP then everyone on this board - okay not everyone - but a lot of people would be in Club 33 having dinner. So now I want to make sure I'm right. So then I can raspberry her or if I'm wrong I can skulk around before apologizing to her. What's the verdict?

If only she had that much of a sense of humor. No she has much more of a sense of herself. Sorry!!! Little bitterness here. I just so wanted to be able to prove her wrong on this one because I love DL and she tolerates it with her kids but she has the money to go anytime she wants and lets us know about it whenever possible. I'm sure that's more than you wanted to know. Sorry again.

As a PAP holder, I can 100% guarantee you that it does not include Club 33 privileges - believe me, I would have been sooooo there!

Although all Club 33 members do automatically get all Premium Annual Passholder benefits (PAP discounts on restaurants, merchandise, hotels...admission to PAP special events...newsletters, etc)...PAP's don't get reciprocal benefits or reservation privileges at Club 33.

I also will concur that a PAP does not get you into club33.

I use to work at a company that had a corperate membership to Club33 and I have been lucky enough to entertain clients there a few times but it was not a PAP pass that got us in. ( I also never got to use it for anything other then work.)

You can safely tell her she is wrong.

You can also tell her that one of the unknown benefits of having a PAP is that if you show it to a cast member and say the magic phrase ("Don't you know who I am?") they will let you cut in line. Or something like that. Wait until tomorrow to tell her this part.

ROTFLMAO!!!! And can you be there with a video camera when she tries it out at DL!

Ask her to make you a reservation or pick up some merchandise. ;)

I think you should say, "GREAT!" and ask her to take you to dinner there.;)

I would casually mention to her that having a PAP doesn't give you access to Club 33. If she keeps arguing with you, I wouldn't keep going there. Just say, hey, I told you what the deal is. If you don't want to believe me, then try to make a reservation by telling them you have a PAP. Sometimes, it's just useless to argue with these people.

I think, as your April Fool's joke, you should tell her that you found out that you can gain entrance into Club 33 with the PAP.

:~D

And, I'm still snorking at Alex's comment. :p

I've been a PAP for several years now and know for a fact, that, not only do you get entry to Club 33 for dinner, or brunch/lunch whenever you want (especially during the Candlelight Processional days!!), you get to spend the night FREE, at Walt's apartment!!!

That's why you always see the light on in the apartment - from all the PAP's who know the secret and take advantage of the special perks of being a PAP!!!

Not only that, but you get to share the apartment with Mark Goldhaber!

You guys (and gals) are hysterical. My DH and I have been laughing our heads off at some of the suggestions but we decided this was the best one so we're gonna tell her. Boy will she be p.o.'d. Thanks:D

You can get into THE DOWNSTAIRS LOBBY, and ONLY THE DOWNSTAIRS LOBBY of Club 33. And you don't even need an "economy" annual pass to do it. All you have to do is take the Walt's Footsteps tour.

As of this past July, you could enter the downstairs lobby with the tour group, and you could take pictures of the downstairs lobby, and you could step inside the elevator, and even get your picture taken in the elevator. But you can't go upstairs, either by the staircase or the elevator.

You can also get into the downstairs lobby if you can convince the people at the other end of the intercom that you're really interested in a membership application. But you don't get to hang around or take pictures, the way you do on the tour.

And I was under the impression that, at least at the lowest membership levels (and certainly if you're merely a guest of a member), you don't even get free park admission unless you actually HAVE a reservation to dine at Club 33, and you actually USE the reservation, and DINE there. Sort of like Seattle's Space Needle, where if you go up on a restaurant reservation, then decline to eat there without a really good excuse, they bill your Visa card for an O-deck admission.

This is very True park admission is included unless you make a reservation and actually go to the reservation.

However we have called and arranged clients to fly in to the helipad and be escorted around disneyland all day VIP style and then brought to dinner at club33 where we met them.

I sadly no longer work that company anymore. Also when it is all for work it's not that impressive to me it was work after all.

This is very True park admission is included unless you make a reservation and actually go to the reservation.

I'm not sure I'm reading that correctly, but just to be clear:

Club Members can sign in themselves plus one guest 365 days a year without having a reservation and dining at the Club, and they are not charged for those admissions (Hoppers too, FYI). Think of it as a Premium Annual Pass Plus.

If the Member arranges admission for more than him/herself and that one guest, and they do not dine at the Club, the Member will be billed for those admissions exceeding the 2 daily comps.

Guest Reservation Parties (those reservations where the Member is not present in person): All persons issued comp tickets must dine at the Club or the Member will be billed for those admissions.

But the Member gets in free daily with one accompanying guest free, no matter if they dine at the Club or not.

Additionally...dining at the Vineyard Room at California Adventure...also counts as "dining at the Club" for the purposes of the free comps. So comp tickets can be issued to parties not dining at the Club as long as they honor a reservation made through the Club, at the Vineyard Room.
