Is there a post office within walking distance of Disneyland? If so, does anyone know the hours they are open? I remember mailing letters in the park, but I want to be able to mail some packages.

The nearest on is on Ball Road (Called the Holiday Station). west of the DLR, about 1 and 1/4 miles walk.

Here is a map with the route, using the tool Alex Stroup wrote about in today's MP article.

Pretty sure they have the standard Post Office Hours, Monday thru Friday from about 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday Mornings.

When I was staying at the Sheraton Anaheim, the concierge was happy to send out a fed ex box for me. Are you staying at a hotel in the area?

I will be staying at a hotel on harbor, but not an upscale hotel, so I doubt they do that sort of thing, but it's worth it to ask. Thanks for the idea.

Since there is Main Street mail box, then surely Disneyland Park has the ability to provide guests with the mailing of packages.

I am betting that you are NOT the first person since 1955 to request such a thing.--Someone should ask at City Hall.

My goodness. -- I think the three hotels (GCH or DH or PP), even if you are not a guest, will allow outgoing packages with their outgoing mail.

I mean, really!--Can you imagine the concierge saying, "No, you are not a guest, so we cannot accomodate you!"?

(I think not. -- The exception might be the abuse of the system, like mailing 100 packages, or mailing a package weighing 100 pounds.)

This is only my opinion. -- I have no experience in this matter.
But, if I were laying odds, any concierge will accomodate one or two packages from a hotel guest, and possibly so for a non-guest.

(How else does Uncle Waldo mail home his stuffed plush FIND NEMO set of fishes to each and every neice/nephew?)

A postal worker at this station once told me that the Post Office was named the "Holiday Station" from back in Disneyland's earliest days when Walt added the now long-gone "Holidayland" to Disneyland.

Don't know if that's true or not, but it sorta makes sense as the location of Holidayland would have been the closest land to this Post Office.

If you've already prepared whatever needs to be mailed even a third-rate hotel should be willing to put yours in with their outgoing mail. They won't have any services for you, of course.
