I would say to ride the less popular rides or go to Innoventions!! If it rains the park won't be crowded and everyone will be at the popular indoor rides!:fez:

There was a big post about the rain a few days back, if you search feature it should come up and be helpful.

Innovations might not be open  .

In adventureland you can go to the TikiRoom....there's a little bit of a covering up near the waiting area restrooms. After that you could go to Indiana Jones, if you want to kill time, while staying dry; much of that queue is covered.

Then make your way to the jungle cruise. I think there's a tarp around the Jungle Cruise Queue, and the Jungle Cruise boats should have covering, although holes in some places?, . If it's windy, rain might come through the sides, but with a poncho you can stay relatively dry despite all that.

After Jungle Cruise, head to the Steamship. That's pretty much covered---the indoor part.

Innoventions could be closed? When does it close?

We usually hit some of the shows when it is raining to hard. Go see:

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
Aladdin (at DCA)
Mr. Lincoln(now the 50th anniversary and it is supposed to be fantastic)
The movie theatre in Main Street plays Mickey Mouse movies
Tiki Room
Innoventions if it is open (can spend hours in their, but my children are older).
Disney Gallery if it is open in NOS is fun.
Good time for a charactor meal
Honey I shrunk the audience
Space mountain and Star tours have larger inside que's,

I am sure you will find plenty to do to stay dry. We actually love to go on Splash when it is raining. It always seems like we get a bigger "splash" at the end.

I have no idea about the Innovations schedule of hours. I think it's like the "Columbia" of Tomorrowland. They make their own hours, I'm guessing.

The problem with Aladdin and Honey, is that they don't open their doors until the show is almost starting, so you might be left standing in an unprotected queue.

Be careful with Splash Mountain in heavier downpours. Twice, a couple of times in 2004, and once in 2005, Splash was down for malfunctioning in heavier storms. It usually comes back up.....but in that type of heavy rain....you don't want to be standing around. Not to mention hiking all the way over to Critter Country, where it's located, only to find them down, amidst a raging downpour. ---This happened to me.

Of course there's always Winnie the Poo, which is right across the way, but I hardly consider that a consolation prize.

Make sure you have a cover for your stroller to keep it dry. I would have dry clothes and extra blankets for the kids in a locker. We did fine in the rain with our three year old but I would worry more about a newborn. Despite our best efforts on New Year's Eve our stroller did get a bit damp inside. There were torrential downpours that day though.

Oh, but it was so much fun!!! OK, so my pant legs didn't dry out that day, we ended up going to the AMC to see King Kong, first time we have left the park on New Years Eve.

Honey's queue is under cover. Also, the train is fairly covered, and it moves, so that is one to ride. If it isn't raining too hard, it is actually fun to ride Screamin in the rain. And buy ponchos before you leave.

Somehow, I don't think Indiana Jones would be the first choice with a 3-year-old and a 2-month-old.

Just remember, as I said onthe other recent rain thread, and as I've said many times before: rainy weather is ideal for water rides, so long as it isn't especially cold: the park isn't nearly as crowded, so the lines are shorter, and if it's raining, you're going to be dressed for a water ride (but make sure you have either a hood or a Sou'wester, because you do NOT want to have an open umbrella on a thrill ride! You do that, they gonna forcibly escort you off the ride, and ship you off to the Happiest Funny Farm on Earth (where life is beautiful all the time).

What to do if it rains? Go on as many rides as possible as the crowds run for the parking lot.

What to do when it rains?? IMO, that's always a funny question :) I mean, it shows how much "life" depends on where you grew up and what the climate was when you grew up. At DLP, it... rains a lot... so we don't even question that anymore. Where rain-clothes, provide a towel in your backpack, be prepared to spend quite some time in a restaurant or a store, as easy as that! :)

The good thing about it: there won't be that many people around...

Since your children are small you can also retreat to the Baby Center. You can change clothes there, nurse, feed your toddler, spend some quiet time reading stories and they have cute little potties that your toddler will love. They will let husbands sit in the lobby but mine usually goes and does something else.

We never thought of the movie theatre, that would also be a good idea. Build a Bear workshop is lots of fun for toddlers. The rain forest cafe is fun too but my toddler was scared when the monkeys would come to "life".

I love to shop when it is raining, if it is raining hard. If it is just a sprinkle, I put up on my poncho and away we go.

The Build a Bear workshop looked big fun to me... and then I looked at the price tags!   If you plan to do that, you better prepare a budget and some restrictions. Those bear clothes are about as expensive as "real" clothes!
They are SO cute though...

We just returned from DL and 5 days at the CGH. It rained hard on Friday night and we just went to our room and rested.
On Saturday it was suppose to rain "forecasters" predicted and it was nice. It was very cold as there were snow on the mountains but it didn't rain during the day, just in the late evening. The temp was about 60 and the evenings were pretty chilly. Take extra blankets and jackets if you are going to sit and wait for the parade.

The parade and fireworks were cancelled because of showers on one evening. And because this was a holiday weekend it was very crowded. We used our fastpasses as much as possible. The wait for the New Monsters Inc ride was one hour and 45 minutes. There were no fast passes for it.
All in all it was fun and we are planning our next trip in July....:p
