Now at first glance, this may seem like the same thread that has been started time and time again; what are your first and last rides? But this topic is different. I was at the resort on Saturday night (yes, in the rain. a great time to go). Well, I decided to end my night on the Matterhorn. Well I got to the bottom of the mountain right about 11:58. Someone else in the sled asked if we could ride again. They let us go through the handicap gate and get right back on. Well there was one couple who was riding together that decided to ride apart, so i was without a seat. I just waited for the next sled. At this point, the ride was now closed, and I was the last one. I got to ride the last sled down the matterhorn. It was very thrilling to me.(yes, Im a disney dork) It made me wonder if anyone here has ever been lucky enough to be the first and/or last on any attraction for the day. Please share your stories.

On january 10, 2006, I was the first guest inside DLP for that day. Does it count?

I have also been the last guest they kick out of DL in 2002...

Yes, I've done the last monorail several times, and these were times when the Park closed at 12:00 am.

When the park closed at 2:00 am, over New Years, my last ride was Splash Mountain.....and then, amazingly the railroad was still running to take guests back to Main Street, even after that. The Railroad waits a little to pick up any last guests.

Although, now I'm thinking it would have been nice to stroll back over to Main Street.

When the Park opens at 7:00 am, the first ride is usually Peter Pan.

October/November 2004... took the Mysteries, Myths and Legends tour and we were last to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday... they even slowed it down drastically and we had a very good look at everything. It was pretty cool!

I was first on Space Mountain once, a long time ago. This was back when you waited behind a rope on Main Street for the park to open. My brother and I specialized in "race walking", which wouldn't get use yelled at like running would, and we were very good at navigating crowds. We maneuvered to SM and were the first in line. They escorted us through the line, and it was the best ride I've ever taken, because our eyes didn't have enough time to adapt to the dark and we couldn't see the tracks at all.

It made me wonder if anyone here has ever been lucky enough to be the first and/or last on any attraction for the day. Please share your stories.

In Dec 04. My daughter, my sis and me went to Splash Mnt. We're from up north so even when youre cold, its still warm for us! Anyway, were the only people in line, we got our own log and they let us go 3 times before kicking us off. It was GREAT! It was like having our own personal ride to ourselves. Definatly a memory to keep for always!

During the hectic Christmas season this past year we were the last people to ride Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. We got to ride the train all by ourselves 10 times in a row. The next night we were able to ride Ladybug Boogie over and over again. We were the last ones to ride the ride. Everyone else had gone to the zoo, I mean DL for fireworks or parades or something like that.

Last June, my dd and I took the GCH Condor Flats Tour, so we were the very first visitors in DCA and the first to ride Soarin (only 6 of us total and we had front and center seats, of course). It was a very special moment.

In December, we were the last to ride the Matterhorn after the Fireworks show ended. It was awesome to have the last ride of the night!

On Dec 4 05, on the last day of my trip, I was determined to mop up those rides I had not found time for, so I went straight to Storybookland - no one else came along and so after five minutes waiting, the cast member took me on a boat all on my own; she went off the normal patter to answer my questions, stopped the boat a couple of times so i could take photos, and even backed up twice when i missed seeing something. it was terrific!!! when we got back, there were about fifty people in line, and the rest of the day the queue was always half an hour long so I feel like I got a very special deal!

We were in DCA near closing back in November, with all of those beautiful lights around us in the Paradise Pier area. We got on Golden Zephyr and had a CM that was really entertaining. We road three times in a row and finally had to get off as they were clearing the park. It doesn't sound so special as I type this, but there was something magical about watching all the lights whizzing by, while the CM was speiling some pretty far-fetched space jokes. The Christmas tree had just gone up, and we could see it well from the attraction, with TinkerBell on the top. It really was magical!

I never leave the park until closing time. We usually pick a ride and ride it over and over until they kick us out. One time we picked Splash. We rode it 7 times. Each time we planned what to do for our photo. The sixth time we decided to all fake sleeping. When we got to the end the CM's said they had never seen that before and let us ride agianeven though they were closed. We were the only ones on the whole ride and it was awesome.

In January, at DLP of course, my brother and I could ride the Indy-coaster over and over again. There were 5 die-hard coaster-riders, and a train can seat 8, and no one else was there, so we could stay on. It was magical, because you have the most wonderful view over the park, and it was snowing!

This is a pretty cool topic. The one that standsout the most to me was about three years ago, my two oldest and I rode BTMRR four times in a row, because it was closing and no-one else was in line. It was just the three of us with four other people on the ride. It was AWESOME. I love BTMRR, especially at night.

The other one that stands out is last July when SM reopened. We were the first ones to ride when they held their first public soft opening. We were heading staight to Buzz when a verygracious CM whispered to my oldest son that Space was open today as we passed. We quickly (without running of course) headed to Space and were able to walk on and be on the first public ride after the long refurb. All of my family talks about that day whenever we are disucssing DLR with friends.

A few years ago my family and I were in the park late on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. We wanted to ride Pirates one more time, so we got in line and there was hardly anyone there. We rode and when we got back to the loading station there was nobody in line. We asked if we could stay on the boat and go once more, and they let us!

As far as we could tell, there was nobody in the boats in front of us and we never saw anyone else in the boats behind us. It was like we had the whole ride to ourselves.. when we got back the ride was closed to new riders and we left. It was very cool.
