Aw, I don't know if the pictures do justice to exactly how exciting it was.
I really wanted to convey the excitement of being on-property during the most festive time of the year.
From the moment I got the Mickey wake up call at 6:15 am, New Years Eve morning.....
.....to standing at the EE maingates at 6:30 am..... then breathlessly, but happily... rushing to all those rides (Peter Pan 4 times before 7:30 am)
.....and then stumbling in to Plaza Inn at 8:30 am (without any reservations) and spending the rest of the morning lulling away the hours on that porch, with plate after plate of great food, and characters......till 12:00pm.
.....Then sauntering out to sit and watch Mickey climb the Matterhorn at 12:15 ish?
.....And then it starts pouring down rain....which at the time seemed tragic, but now seems romantic.....huddling on the Steamship, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise to dry off----plus having a great hotel room to come back and dry off in.
.....And then the anticipation as the excitment builded when they were handing out the horns and blowers.
I hope the pictures show that, the excitement and anticipation of the coming Midnight were palpable. ---The sea of heads looking toward the castle in solemn silence as the characters appeared on the ledge....http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=94762126&size=l
Hard to capture that with just a little disposable camera----but if anyone is thinking of doing NYE (Start planning and saving now!) I do hope the pictures give y'all a little taste of what it's like!
