If you go online and purchase your Park Hoppers thru Getawaytoday.com, you get a voucher, correct? Their deal w/kids play free is great deal for my family of 5. What do I do w/the voucher when I get to DLR? Take it to the ticket booth and get my park hoppers?
Maybe I'm blind, but I can't find this specific info on the website without actually registering to purchase. Thanks.

I am not sure about this one. We have always booked our trips through themagicforless.com. You get a personal travel agent who communicates with you throughoutthe process. Their agents are well trained and have actually been to the park and many of the surrounding hotels. When I had a reservation a couple of years ago, I became worried about the hotel as it had some pretty bad reviews. I let the agent know, he e-mailed me a list of alternate hotels, and made the changes without charging us. And...after we had booked and paid, a special program came up and they re-booked our trip to take advantage of the special and sent me a check for the difference in cost. All of our tickets and other media were delivered to my house via Fed Ex. I love this agency...I have booked my own trips, and it is not really hard, but this was a week long family vacation, and I did not have time to do it myself. I did however, check the rates on the web for our hotel, and none ever came out cheaper than what we had been charged. I also ordered gift baskets through them. had them make our Priority Seating arrangements, etc.
They are wonderful to work with, and we are using them currently to book our next trip to DL!
good Luck!

I've gone thru Getawaytoday for my last 3 Disneyland trips. After you book the trip, they mail you a voucher that you just take to the main ticket booth at Disneyland. Simple as that.

Thanks. How long did it take to get the voucher? Or, how far ahead did you order your tickets thru them?

I just got my voucher in the mail yesterday from getawaytoday.com, it only took a week to get it after ordering. I'm a bit disappointed with myself because I didn't realise it was a voucher and not actual tickets. I was hoping I wouldn't have to waste time in the ticket booth converting a voucher into tickets, that is part of the reason for pre-ordering. My fault, though, it says voucher on the website.

We have done this several times so here is the scoop. The person who purchased the package needs to redeem the voucher for the tickets and character breakfasts/dinners. They will be stapled together. Take your reciept and picture ID because sometimes the cm will ask.
WARNING: DO NOT try to redeem the voucher in the morning before park opening. It is very busy then. On the day you arrive at your hotel take a practice run on the shuttle or walk and take the kids to see DownTown Disney, it is free. Get your tickets without waiting at this time. Walk down to ESPN Zone and again with picture ID get your free ESPN cards and let the kids play there till they run out of their $10 credit. This will take about an hour to do all of this. If you are lucky as you leave the park you can see the fireworks show in the area between Disneyland and DCA. Plenty of area there to sit and watch the show.
Now all the sitting in the car wiggles have been taken care of you can go back to the hotel, shower and get ready to hit the park for early entry in the morning.
If you get to your hotel in mid afternoon this is a good time to head south on Harbor towards Garden Grove for snacks & bottled water from Target or the grocery store. You can save at least $30 a day by giving each child a water bottle and a few snacks to carry in their backpack. The day before you can actually enter the park is a great day just to get settled in.
We have been very happy with GetAwayToday travel and really appreciate their payment plan. $150 deposit holds your vacation and then you pay the rest thirty days before departure. If you need to cancel for some reason there is only a $50 penalty. It is best to call on the telephone and the girls are very helpful. They can sell you shuttle tickets and anything else you need at a discount.

I am SOOOOO thankful someone brought this up! I am just about to purchase my tickets through getaway, and I did not realize they were just vouchers! Yikes, I would have been so mad at myself!
Can you redeem the vouchers for tickets at the ticket booth the day before you go into the park? Do the ticket booths have specific hours? Our plane doesn't land until almost 9pm on a Friday night, then however long it takes to get out of the airport, to the hotel, checked in and walk to the ticket booth. I had planned on doing EE the following morning and I DO NOT want to hastle with trying to trade in for tickets at 6:30am!

Thanks for the helpful advice. It is certainly cheaper to buy the park hoppers thru them. Not sure if we'll be able to avoid the lines at the ticket booth though. If this trip comes off we'll arrive at SNA at 8:25 a.m., stash our luggage at our hotel and go into the parks. Now, it will be a Thurs in early March , so maybe that will help some w/lines and such. I think we have to suck it up and deal w/the ticket booth lines for the savings.
I might give them a call. I didn't know you get character meal stuff from them too.

Not sure where you are staying or if all the Hotels do this, but the DHL let us exchange our vouchers at the front desk when we were checking in. I would assume since they did this that any of the Hotels that sell tickets would be able to. Might not hurt to ask at the desk.
