I had a dream last night, here's how it went.

(BTW, in this dream I was more of a "Third Person View" of me and my family).

It was a Sunday moring, I got up from my bed and started to get dressed, very nicely. Then we left the house, to arrive at DL. Then we showed our pass with about a million other people. Wen't into the entrance for sleeping beauty castle, only now it was a huge place with many stained glass windows that look like Disney chars., then we find our seat, get a program, then the main speaker gets up to the podium, It was Eisner! Then we all got down and started to bow. Then there was a sacrfice of a non Disney liker (Think the scene of "Temple Of Doom", only the holder was shaped like Mickey's head.) Then he said a few words, then told us about the price going up, passed around the collection plate. Then our ushers(7 dwarfs and such) showed us the way out. While in the castle I saw many things, Mickey holding his had to a guests forhead (Like a prayer), people reciting diffrent things, and many other "Church" realted things.
I also remember somthing about Walt's tombstone, and many people praying.

Then I woke up, all sweaty. Weird. I need to lay off the DL thoughs. :)

Monorail Man- Cool dream! :)

Most of my dreams take place at DL or a theme park of some sort. Pretty weird huh? In one of my dreams, the KKK surrounded DL by linking elbows. I couldn't get out. But I didn't mind too much. :D Another dream I had defined DL as it's own country. Each land stretched out for miles and miles. There were so many rides and attractions that one had to live there his/her whole life in order to do them all. That would be cool.

I am a huge Submarine Voyage fan, cheesy as that ride was at the end. I have had many dreams about it.

My brother-in-law recently wrote a sci-fi story about me as an Emma Peel type with Jackie Chan-style moves. Wearing a skin-right Versace black leather body suit and Manolo Blahnik boots, I defeat Eisner. Wow, if only ...

I had a dream once that I only had 2 hours to escape DL or it was going to get sucked into the lagoon.
The dream remined me of a old slapstick movie, I would trip, sections would be closed, some sections "One-Way", Etc...
I didn't know If I made It, I woke up. :)

I am of the firm belief that thousands of years from now, when our time may or may not be forgotten, the tri-circle Mickey icon will be theorized to be an ancient religious icon by archeologists.
Wordy enough for you?
I've had dreams that take place in Disneyland, though non off-hand that I can remember as really weird. Once, when I was a kid, I had a dream that I was at Disneyland with Michael Jackson, and we went to the Haunted Mansion. Only the foyer wasn't the normal foyer. It was a combination normal foyer and blue tent (like the ones they use to cover the rides during refurbishment). And this dang bat kept trying to slip under the bottom of the tent. It wasn't so much scary as it was annoying, because every time the bat lifted the tent, the opening spiel would stop, and we'd have to wait for them to set it up again. (So you can tell what my priorities are.)
It was a sad dream, because I woke up before I was able to ride the ride. :crying:

I had another Funky dream, but this time about DCA:

I was walking down PP, and saw that Screamin' only had a 5 min. wait, so I got in the line. Because of my body shape and style, I had to get out of the line, then the next time around, the car derailed in the loop, and the train was sent flying(some how in this dream there was a large pond of water under the loop) over the water, and landed on the pier, I remember seeing if everything was ok. But, somehow the ride operator blamed the event on me, he/she said something about telling the computer about the weight of me, since I planed to ride, which I knew was BS. So we have this big fight me and the operator, then Mr. Eisner comes out to clear things up, we explain what happend, then suddenly guards come in and take me away. After some time, I find myself in the ToonTown jail, in one of thoes B&W suits. Then I woke up.

This is the only disadvantage to being a Disney nut, bad dreams. :)

Ooh, cool! May I analyze your dream in it's most obvious form? Well, I'm going to anyway!
Disney (or more specific, DCA) is making you suffer for their horrible mistakes.
I say horrible, because, well, the roller coaster plummeted to it's doom.
I took a look in one of my dream analysis books, but I couldn't really find anything on roller coasters, body shape, watching a disaster, arguing over blame, or prison.
Anyone else?

Had yet another wierd dream:

Was at DL (no parents), went to get on Indy, rode, then after I got off there was a party outside the exit, I was the 10,000,000th rider! So then I received a special pin, the a CM came up and asked me, "For being the 10,000,00th rider, we want to do something special for you, What's one thing you have always dreamed of doing at DL?", In my dream I replyed, "Be Mickey for a day!", then the CM replyed, "One better, I'll give you a Mickey costume to take home, but first we need to go backstage to make sure it fits." Then I was escorted to the back, where the costume was waiting for me to try on. I slowly put it on, gloves last. Then out of of a building came out a Mob of CMs, then one CM informed me, "Ha! It's all a trick, sucker! Your stuck in that costume forever!". At this moment I try to pull it off, but no good, it's stuck for sure. Then I was dragged to Mickey's house in Toontown, where they threw me in, and activated a force field around the doors. As they left they all said, "We told you could take it home! Welcome home! (sinister laugh)"

At this moment I then woke up, threw off my Mickey gloves, and my Mickey hat, breathing really hard!

Man, and I thought I finally was going to have a good DL dream. Oh well. :)

The big question: Where?

Where ever I go theres some sort of Disney thing slapping me in the face! Took a trip to the Grand Canyon, saw 8 people in Mickey shirts! Went to the beach, Disney towels! No matter where I go it's there!

You are SO right, Monorail Man! A CM can never truely get away from DL when the go on vacation! Go to any major city in the world, and you will see Mickey. Every airport I have ever been in has some kind of Disney character being sold in the gift shops.

There was a phrase that was used to discribe the British Empire and all of its colonies in the past: "The sun never sets on the British Empire". Now, that right is held by the Walt Disney Co. ;)

As to the theme of the thread, have any of you Mouse Planeteers (I'm sure I'm not the first to coin that phrase! But if I am, I want trade mark rights! :D ) ever seen "Escape From L.A."? Yes, the cheesy movie with Patrick Swazey (I'm sure I spelled his name wrong. ) as a futuristic bounty hunter attempting to rescue the Presidents daughter from the Penal Colony of Los Angeles. Much of the story line is around a post apocolyptic Disneyland. The name of Disneyland is changed, of course, because Disney didn't want anything to do with this film, but really couldn't do anything about the story. This movie is truely a nightmare vision for any Disneyland lovers. Some may even think that it is happening now in real life! JK! ;)

In the story, L.A. and most of Northern Orange County are destroyed by a catastrophic earthquake (what an original concept! *dripping sarcasm*). A religious zealot President of what is left of a crumbling United States declares the area a prison colony and begins to deport all law breakers there to cleanse the 'moral' states from decay. The remains of Disneyland, now called "Happyland by the Sea" because of Disney having gone bankrupt and having to sell the theme park to escape going under, becomes the defacto capital of Nationalist movement to retake the United States by an opposing group of gangs angry at having been sent to die in L.A.

In the scenes that take place in "Happyland by the Sea" you can clearly make out the ruined remains of Disneyland. The monorail and it's track lay on it's side just in front of the main entrance to the park. Main Street is still standing, but urban decay has made its way into what was once a look into the 1900's vision of life in the USA. And standing sentinal over the black scene of what was once "The Happiest Place On Earth" is a grey, forboding and crumbling Matterhorn Mountain.

I'm sure it is still on the shelves of some of the video chains, just on the chance that you get real curious to see what kind of nightmarish vision I have described looks like for yourselves. I must warn you, this movie is rated 'R', and is really bad as far as acting and story plot goes. View it with tongue firmly in cheek!

:p

HOLY MOLY! We have it at the library! :D

I'm checking it out. (No pun intended)

BTW, Patrick Swazy is not in it, all I see is: Kurt Russell, Stacy Keach, Steve Buscemi, Peter Fonda.

Bad movie, If you do get if just FF to almost the end, there you see the "Happy Kingdom" footage, and yep it's all there! I love one line, when they first land there: "the place kept changing owners... They finally went bankrupt, the thing in Paris killed them."

Sorry - no vivid Disneyland dreams...but noticed that since I recently watched Harry Potter and reread the book the week before, I was having dreams about that...

...and when "The Sims" game came out and I was all into that I used to have dreams about playing it - or something - I hate to say "living it" in my dream as that just waaaaaaay to dorky for me to even admit to.

Now - when I was pregnant I had some bizarro dreams about beating the crap out of people - usually someone who was trying to hurt my cat in the dream (I have no cat though) - and then I'd realize that the cat was a baby and that I'd forgotten to feed it or left it at home and went to the store or some other kick the robbers butt/bad mommy dream.

Anyone else LOVE dreams?

My dh thinks I'm wierd talking about them but I they seem to try and sort out lifes problems sometimes.

I had a Disneyland dream last night. Actually, most of it took place in some sort of mountainous desert region, but at one point, I was riding
Space Mountain with the lights on. That's all I remember. :(

I had to ressurect this thread since last night I did indeed have a weird Disneyland dream...

They had put a new ride on the rocket rods tracks, which was called the "Rocket Friends." The cars were white and looked like the old rocket rods cars. Instead of loading at the center thing you loaded at a new platform over the sub lagoon. Before you got on a ride you would watch a pre-flight show with a CM using a dragon puppet (I don't understand either...).

That's it, and I think it's because I watched a ride video of the old Rocket rods earlier yesterday.

A couple weeks ago, I had a Disneyworld dream. It was very insulting towards Disneyworld.
I've never been to those parks over in Florida, so I was really excited to finally go. The first ride we (my family, boyfriend and I) went on was Star Tours, where they were experimenting with a new film. We sat in the ride, fastened our seatbelts, and watched a very boring film that looked promising at times but never ever was exciting. After the movie was over, we all realized that we never moved, once. The cabin was bigger than ours in Anehiem, but the doors were left open the whole time, and daylight had been shining through. It was we were told there was a pregnant lady in the cabin, so they couldn't turn on the motion-simulation part of the ride. Also, this was the only cabin the one in Florida had. We sat around for a moment, and then left. Everyone else sat there, waiting for the "ride" to start again.
When we stepped outside, we were surrounded by trees. Lots of trees and lots of land... but no park. We squinted our eyes, and could see the Epcot ball in the distance. To the right of that, we could see a water tower with mouse-ears that signified MGM Studios. Every now and then a monorail that looked super-tacky rode by us right on the ground. We were not impressed, and decided to go to the fastfood place that was next to the Stars Tours movie.
