Thanks for posting that, Disnerd.

I wonder what will happen (http://auctions.images.go.com/Images/I-Catalog/disneyauctions/?DCMP=LEC-DAGO) to the letters?

I think John Stamos is headed over to the resort with his pickup truck as I type this.

Does anybody know why the sign was removed? Or if it will be replaced by something similar?

According to this week's park update: "They are being removed to meet a deadline for compliance with Anaheim regulations related to signs in the Disneyland Resort area."

Just another example of a stupid government regulation carried too far. I'm sure this law was intended for low level signs, which are an eyesore or obtrusive to certain buildings or areas in Anaheim, not a sign high atop the most prominent hotel near the world famous park.

This sign was not bothering anyone, sitting 20+ stories high in the air, yet they're forced to remove it lest they run afoul of some ordinance which was designed for a completely different purpose. Am I surprised? Of course not, this is america after all, so farewell to any logic which should reasonably be expected to exist.

Keep in mind that the stated reason by Disney for doing things, and the actual reason for doing them are not always the same.
