We were at the DL on 12/09. I noticed that there were spots along the parade route which had these reserved seats (wooden folding chairs). There was a specially dressed CM (christmas theme) who led a group of guests to these seats.

Anyone know what was this all about? Forgot to ask a CM.

I did this twice last year. We also got a cookie, hot chocolate, and a pin. The tour was pretty fun.

i did it last week - it was low key but fun, and the seating for the parade was excellent.

How do you reserve or get these seats?

I've done it two ways. One way is to call (714) 781-4400 and reserve your spot. It is $49 or $39 if you have an annual pass. Another way is to go to city hall when you arrive at Disneyland, and buy the tickets there. That's the way we did it last year, it probably is the same this year.

much safer, this year, to book in advance. the tour was booked solid for 3 of the 6 days i was at the park last week.

What is the Holiday Tour, is it similar to the 50th Tour, the same thing?

no, completely different. there have been several recent threads on the holiday tour, and a couple of excellent articles as i remember, so maybe do a search and you'll find detailed info.
