So have the Billy shows converted to their 'Christmas' format? Do they still change their show for Christmas?

There are three teams, gold, blue and green. Which team does the best Christmas show?

I remember they did a skit with a little christmas tree. It reminded my of Spinal Tap's Stonehenge skit. I also liked their poking fun at 'the clapper'...

I absolutly love the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies Christmas show. I just started a new video podcast on iTunes and my second featured clip is from that show. If you are interested in seeing it, search for Bringing Disneyland Home in the podcast section. It should be listed second after the official Disneyland podcast. Give it a try. It's free.

Yes.

Yes.

As much as I like the guys on the other teams and the other teams acts to varied extents, I much prefer the shows done by the gold team, their Xmas show too. :D
(Sadly Billy Mandolin/Evan has retired.... )

According to Jan (of Jan's World) a very nice lady who is very close to the Billies and runs an unofficial (but almost as official as you can get) site, Evan Marshall/Billy Mandolin has retired.
No mention anywhere if it's a temporary retirement. But I have an idea, it's probably not.

Also, Jan's World is the place to go to find out which "Billies" team is playing which days at Disneyland, news on Billies side-projects and upcoming gigs (as the "Billies" and in their other bands) and tons of other 'Billies' information about every "Billy", on every team.

To Billy Mandolin: Have a restful and wonderful retirement Sir, .. and THANK YOU :D :D for all the great music, fun and laughs and kindness over the years.
You will never be forgotten, Evan!!!

Evan and his brother John (Billy Bass) and a guitar player were playing a set in Downtown Disney just outside of WOD on Sunday. They were selling CDs.

So no more Billy Tell Overture? I'm very sad.

That is cool indeed. I'd love to see that.

I guess Evan just retired from Disneyland only(?), but he still plays with the 'Billies on the road with John'? I imagine he still plays his classical gigs too.

And AFAIK Evan's 'Billy Tell Overture' is gone from the Horseshoe...:( but a couple of the other mandolin playing Billies, have played it at DL. Of course, not quite as amazing .. :)
