Can you help a naive Canadian and tell me what the weather will be like this week? I really don't know what to pack!
Is it warm enough for shorts and t-shirts?
Jackets and mittens?
Can we really swim in December?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!:)

Can you help a naive Canadian and tell me what the weather will be like this week? Here is the 10-day forecast (http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USCA0027?from=search_10day).

I don't think it's that naive of a question, really. ;)

Disneymomma,

That could all change with a system that may come down this coming weekend. Right now its forecast to come down here to California but as to how far south they don't know yet. So its a hit or miss deal for the time being. If you want to be up to date on the weather for here in socal. You want to go to one of our local new station websites to get better weather reports. They put the local news weather reports online for viewing.

Here's the link to one of our local stations.... and on the right side you can see the video selection of the weather cast of that day from morning throught the evening newcast. This will get you up to date and better info on our weather just like we would if you were down here watching tv.

Lets just hope it doesn't rain, since I'm planning on being there this weekend!

FYI you'll need Micromedia Flash to play the videos....just in case it doesn't work for you...

Brrrrrr. Keep you eye on the humidity level. When the humidity goes down, the chances for wind go up, which means the cold temperatures feel all the more colder. 0% humidity for tomorrow? I like a more crisp, still, marine- type cold. This heavy, dry-breezy cold is not my favorite.

You definitely need mittens and a good thermal/lined jacket----I'm wearing mine, even during the daytime, these past few days!

Wish we'd get back to a classic marine climate, with some good fog! That's my favorite. Love being fogged in, with the foghorns sounding etc....

You're not naïve. I've lived here all my life and I still have to check with Mark Kriski (http://ktla.trb.com/news/local/newsstaff/ktla-news-bio-kriski,0,3214002.story?coll=ktla-newsstaff-1) in the morning to find out what the weather's gonna be like.
