I am going tomorrow and was wondering if any one knows what the crowds may be like. I am hoping its not to crowded but it is the week of thanksgiving. So what do you guys think?

My guess.. crowded. Reason: Parking at my school usually takes me up to 90 minutes on a Monday. Today I passed HUNDREDS of spots and got a parking spot right up front. Everyone is ditching and taking time off. That's my indicator anyway.

My indication....

The Park is open from 8 AM to Midnight, Disney ONLY does that on PEAK days....

Ditto that here in Oceanside, North San Diego County. Must be a trend. Should make for a very crowded week.

Me, I'll be going next Monday.

Braving the big crowds for girl's shopping excursion "1" on the 27th, we thought about going today or tomorrow but decided it might be nutty crowded and we would be going up in the afternoon in traffic. SO sunday, same crowds (we assume), bad traffic, but we all have the whole day to burn.

Crowds this week?? How are they?

I know it is going to be busy, but I was just trying to get a general feel. I am going tomorrow AM, and I suspect that it shouldn't be too bad first thing in morning (we are probably going from 8am to 11am).

Thanks!

Busier than I had expected it to be on monday (it was like a saturday during summer), and I think the pattern for this week is as it goes from monday-saturday it gets busier and busier.

Disneyland was very, very busy on Tuesday as well. Think of a Saturday in July, and you get the idea.

Anytime the park is open from 8am to 12 Midnight it will be busy. And those are the operating hours for the 10 days of the Thanksgiving week and the weekend that preceded it this year. BUSY!

I was there today and it was busier than I expected. (I knew to expect crowds starting Wed. - on throught the weekend.) But yes, today was like a summer weekend!

It was bad but not that bad Ive seen worse at the park but tuesday was not that bad. I guess your definition of bad differs greatly from my definition of bad! It was very crowded! A saturday in July describes it perfectly.

I enjoyed seeing all the holiday decor, did not attempt rides. It's a bummer that they don't have fast passes for Small World.

Having experienced Thanksgiving week at DLR in 2003, I can say that it was very crowded throughout the week. We will likely not do that again. :)

Having just arrived home yesterday from our soujourn to Disneyland, I must say I was surprized by the crowds. We arrived Friday at around 9:30 am and we were able to walk on most rides. Friday night got busier and each day after got worse. We were staying at the Paradise Pier and made use of the early entry on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings. By about 11:00 am the crowds were getting very large.
We ate lunch often at DCA because the waits were much less. I must thank all on here who give information especially about fastpasses not expiring. We made good use of that especially on Space where fastpasses sold out fast and the wait in the evenings were up to 100 minutes or more.
All that being said I still had a great time. Just try hitting rides early and leave the ambience for the evenings.

Well, I am back and it was somewhat crowded, but then again, we left by 10:30! :) (It was our original plan just to go for the early AM.)

It was great though, no traffic getting there, on our first ride by 8:20am (after a pit stop at the baby care center). Did a few rides, picture w/ Santa, and then home. It was perfect going that early, little to no wait on the rides.

Now, the crowds coming IN the park...that is another story! :D

Last night was INSANE, was planning to watch the fireworks from the iaswh area, got there about 8:30 PM, and the area was full.

They added a third showing of Fantasmic!

Lots of folks...

Good. Hopefully they get it out of their system and when I go in early Dec. it will be quiet. :p

Thanksgiving day: One hour wait for Peter Pan. Later after the Christmas parade, 15 minute wait for Holiday Small world.

Thanksgiving day: One hour wait for Peter Pan. Later after the Christmas parade, 15 minute wait for Holiday Small world.

Peter Pan is designed to only handle about 500 riders per hour, while Small World handles over 2,500 per hour. So no wonder there's such a disparity in wait times. Small World is a people eater, and Peter Pan is a slow poke!
