Not necessarily directly DL realted, but for those of you wondering about wi-fi in and around the parks, could come in handy.

At its regularly-scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 25, the Anaheim City Council will consider a 20-year franchise agreement with EarthLink Inc. to establish a public, wireless broadband network that encompasses all 50 square miles of the city. EarthLink is under consideration as the preferred provider following the city's issuing of a nationwide request for proposals to build such a network.

I personally like the idea, however this isn't geared towards the citizens of the city. It's geared towards everyone at DL, DCA, Anaheim Convention Center, Angel Stadium and the Pond. Curious to know how much they charge for a service like this, and by the time they get it launched, will they be competiting against the free internet offered by the hotels.

The part that would be under City control wouldn't actually put WiFi into Disneyland or even many of the larger hotels in the area. Earthlink would be able to attach WiFi equipment on public utility poles. This on its own would not provide coverage into the puplic areas of Disneyland (except may Toontown which is closest to public property) due to the limited radio range of WiFi. Disney would have to allow them install equipment deeper inside their property and I don't expect that is likely.
