Does anyone know the type of paint is used on the buildings on Main Street? It's very shiny, is it high gloss latex or maybe oil based? Thanks for any info!

it has to be high gloss oil. Latex just would not last, dull in the sun. They may use a clear gloss over it as well for added protection.

Send them a letter and they'll probably tell you the brand.

It used to be Sinclair paint but I don't know if it still is. My wife worked for Sinclair and I have a label from a can of Disneyland Shooting Gallery paint that never quite made it to the park ;)

Does anyone know the type of paint is used on the buildings on Main Street? It's an automotive paint. I don't know the brand - my understanding is that it is very expensive but long-lasting and durable.

The DRR locomotives are painted with DuPont Imron. Some of the reds can cost nerly $900/gallon.

I wonder if they use Imron for the buildings too?
