I love getting the kids name badges, and we're due for some new ones. I usually have a friend pick them up before our trip, but no such luck this trip.

For our trip, our first day will actually be spent at Goofy's Kitchen, with no going to the parks (holiday weekend). But I'd like the kids to have name badges for their brunch. Do they sell the badges at the gift shop right outside the park, World of Disney or the hotel? And can you have them personalized outside the park in case they don't have the name you want?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, the World of Disney in Downtown Disney offers them. They are located in the south west end of the store. They do have an engraving machine, but it is only staffed some of the time. So check with a CM.

Name badges?

I didn’t even know these existed.

You can also buy them right here through Mouse Planet in their shop. I bought a couple a few years back and received them really fast! It looks like from the search I did (name badge) there are 3 styles to choose from. 1) 50th Anniversary Gold Edition (http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=6719), 2) Stitch (http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=807) and 3) Tinker Bell (http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=67). They are sold for $8 each. I am not sure what the shipping is.

Does DL still do the 2-hour shopping pass? If so, that might work if you need to go into the park to get the badges.

What is a two hour shopping pass? And how could they possibly keep someone from staying longer and riding rides?

It was a system where you could spend two hours free in the park to shop, especially popular during the holidays. You needed to leave your ID and credit card (I think). If you were back in two hours, nothing was charged. If you missed the two hour deadline, they charged your credit card for the price of a day pass.

I don't believe you had to show a receipt that you bought something, but I could be wrong. If you can sneak a ride in during that time, they didn't seem to care, from what some have said.
