Some details have been released (http://www.register123.com/event/profile/web/index.cfm?PKwebID=0x26601fe25&varPage=activity) on the SHAG Disneyland park map, including the edition size (300) and the price ($400).

At $400, there is just no chance I'm going to buy one. It's not worth that much to me. I can see the attraction for numbered, signed editions, but why not print off a poster for $20? It'd fly out the door.

I agree, I can think of a few 1000 things I would spend $400 on rather than that. LOL

Then add to that the cost of framing, because more then likely if you pay $400 for a piece of paper you are going to frame it. There is another couple hundred, at least. I agree a $20-30 poster would be great.

Shag lithos as a rule are quite reasonable. My avatar is part of a set of two (http://www.shag.com/CallofKapu/HuHulaprints.html) that cost less than $300, if memory serves, and we have another that was commissioned as a FUNDRAISER (http://shag.com/LAbyDaybyNight/LAModernDay.html) (for the Los Angeles Conservancy's Modern Architecture Committee) that also cost less than $300.

So get the tray. Same image and it's only $30. Available right now. Not limited. And you can put drinks on it. :D

This is why I was surprised that the Shag mini prints were only $15 a piece. I snatched those up mighty quick.

Im still looking for the Herb Ryman concept art litho of the park that was for sale at the Disney Gallery about 7 years ago....i didnt know it was a limited edition and have been kicking myself ever since....I cant find the friggin thing anywhere now!! it was $150, and at the time i didnt want to spend that, but I would sure spend double that now (Or more)to get it....so...if anyone is debating on the Shag one....just go for it!! I only regret what I DONT buy!! hehe :D

I bought one of those and framed it myself. When I got tired of it and had no wall space for it I sold it on eBay. I was floored when I got over $1600 for it. Who knows what today's stuff will appreciate to in the future.
