Ive just heard about a single rider line. Supposedly if your willing to go alone you can just have a 10 minute wait for rides like splash mountain. But ive never seen a sign or anything that tells me how to get in that line. Im a bit confused.

Just ask the CM at the front of the attraction if there is a single rider line, they will let you know if they have one, and where to go.

At Disneyland, there is only one attraction that offers Single Rider, Splash Mountain.

The way it works is...

First, go up to the FASTPASS return entrance, and ask for a Single Rider Pass from the CM collecting the FP's. (Sometimes they don't ask for the pass, but I have been sent back to get one more than once, so better safe than sorry).

Next, go to the exit of Splash Mountain, and work your way up stream (be careful, as most folks expect the traffic flow to just go one way). When you get to the actual ride, stay to the right, and stop at the end of the railing (The folks on the left are those who need special assistance for boarding). At this point, a CM should be with you shortly, either they will just sit you on the ride (nobody is waiting, and they have a single seat available), or they will escort you to the bridge that crosses over the flume. Follow the path to the where the CM is grouping folks, once a single seat is available, that CM will tell you where to go.

In DCA, many rides have Single Rider

They are

Screamin' (currently closed)
Mulholland Madness
GRR (only available during peak times)
Maliboomer (also only open during peak times)

Soarin' also offers it, but usually getting a FASTPASS is a much better option.

Each ride works a bit differently, just contact the CM at the FP return, or the entrance to the attraction and ask about Single Rider. They will let you know if they are offering it that day, and if they are, will give you a pass and tell you where to go, or just place you in a special line.

Most of the rides at DCA have single rider tickets; if you see a CM standing in front with a bucket, the bucket is holding single rider tickets. It works great for GRR, Screamin, Moholland Madness, and a few others. ToT doesn't have it, and it didn't work that great on Soarin' (I'd recommend a fastpass for that one).

However, when I was at Disneyland in the Spring of 05, none of the rides had them. That may have changed since then, but I asked at BTMRR, Indy, and Splash and they didn't offer that, just the kiddy exchange pass. It was kind of a bummer, since I was there by myself and truely a single rider. But, it gave me the opportunity to get familiar with the fastpass system.
