I just called the Walt Disney Travel Company about planning my trip next summer (just to get ideas on how much a suite costs and things like that) anyway, I was told that on August 15th, they will have the rates for next year.

Now, something can change between now and then, but as of right now, that is what I was told.

You don't suppose, in honor of the 50th....they'd roll back prices to what they were in 1955?

Since the hotels didn't exist in 1955, it would be difficult.

I talked to the Walt Disney Travel Company again and they said the prices for 2006 come out sometime between 15 and 20 August. Just thought I would let you know.

11/9/05 - 11/13/05 @ DLH concierge and 12/11/05 - 12/16/05 @ either DLH or GCH - trying to talk some friends into paying a little more for the GCH!

How about you?

Cool, concierge.

Oct 13-17, whatever that Thurs-Mon are for MA at the Disneyland Hotel.

Dec. 9-13 at the PPH. Haven't tried it there yet but have heard great things and got a killer rate.

We stayed at PPH 2 Christmas's ago and really liked it. It is a cute "Surfer Xmas" decor! BTW, where did you get the killer rate? I'm thinking of just reserving a room and hoping for AP rates. The only way my friends will stay there is if I can find a great rate for them.

Have fun!

When I booked Expedia had low rates in addition to giving the 4th night free. The 4th night free promo is still going on but I'm not sure how low the rates are. It's worth giving it a look. Let me know what you find.

DH surfs and really wants to try the PPH. I checked it out in March and the lady at the front desk described the holiday decor and it sounds really cool.

We are in Utah so DH does a lot of reading in Surfer/Surfing mag. Poor guy, no beach. Our garage has posters of waves all over it.

I know exactly how your DH feels. Although I didnt surf, I grew up on the South Bay beaches of LA  It is the biggest :crying: thing I miss about living there next to going to Disneyland all the time :D

I was just checking out the rates for next year at the Resort website and for off-season (value season) it's $275 at the DLH. Did rates for a standard room really increase by $70 per night for 2006, or is there some taxes or something they work into the total amount at their web site?

No idea about the taxes, but do you know when/if Expedia will get rates for 2006?

not sure about when Expedia is expected to start showing their rates for 2006, but I'm checking back at that site every once and a while. As soon as I see they have those, I'll post here (unless someone beats me to it, hehe).

I know that last year when I booked our room, the rate was $270.00 per night plus the tax and resort fees. Then when they gave you the AP rate, it went down to 243.00. At least that is what I think it started out at. Right now if I go back to the DLH in a concerige room for 2 adults and 3 children for 7 days/6 nights with 4 tickets, it is going to cost approximately 3,600.00.

I did forget to say that I have an AP, so that is why we have 4 tickets and not 5.
