Any accident at The Happiest Place on Earth is tragic, but I was wondering if there are any statistics as to what the chances are that the average guest will be in an accident on a DL or DCA attraction compared to, say, on the freeway on the way there. Just trying to get some perspective on this.

Thanks,
Brent

IMO, with the way California drivers are, the chances are far more greater on the freeways than at an amusement park. I think we all know that there are accidents on freeways like every day. Just as we all know that an accident at an amusement park doesn't happen all the time. If attractions were thoroughly checked more, maybe more problems such as Big Thunders and Screamins can be prevented.

Wow, interesting article, Dark. Didn't hear about all of them, nor realize that there have been that many recent accidents on Big Thunder. Didn't know about the one in March or last July.

Well, more people were killed in one accident (when a driver went through a pedestrian filled sidewalk next to Disneyland) earlier this year than have died in ride accidents in the last 10 years at Disneyland.

The probability has to be low considering over 500,000,000 people have visited DL.
