Hi all,

Thought I'd post some hightlights of our trip. We did 5 days at DLR over the span of 6 days. It was exhausting!! Here are some highlights:

Arrived at DTD at 7:30AM on the 17th and ended up in line 1/2 way down (on North side). Took this (http://bigalh.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album01&id=D1_HPIM0770) picture when we were leaving.
Didn't take too long to get in - got our ears and while the family sat in front of the JumboTron near City Hall I got Buzz Fastpasses and cupcakes. Watched "the" ceremony and got showered with colored paper at the end of it.
Sunday was not crowded at all! Saw lots of people get their ears or merchandise and leave right away.
Son did just fine in his wheelchair all week. If you want some ride tips let me know...
Space Mountain is fun - and the handicap loading is pretty slick (seperate car that "slides" onto the track after loaded).
New parade and fireworks are great!
People are just plain RUDE. They will stand right in front of you during fireworks, or try to cram into wheelchair areas at the last minute prior to a parade. Hats off to all patient CMs!!!
It was great meeting some of the Padders at Darkbeer's get together on Monday. Photos located here (http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/gallery/669975). Thanks to Darkbeer for the gifts! :fez:
Goat trick really does work on BTMR - but only if you keep your head turned towards the goat until you start making the downward turn.
BTMR absolutely rocks at night!
TOT is best if you keep your hands up. Nothing like completely floating (feet and butt) while dropping!
Food service was just fine - no massive delays for us
Blue Bayou ('nuff said)!!!
Son enjoyed the VMK stuff - but we were never able to get a tour (always full)
Finally saw Billy Hill and the Hillbillies - awesome stuff! Decided to see them again later in the week and it was a different group. Billy came out into the audience and picked my wife to join them! She played Orange Blossom Special and got a packet of parmesan cheese as a gift. :fez:
It really sucks going back to work...

That's about it for now... I'm ready for another trip!

Thanks for the trip report. Sounds like you had a great time. Where did you stay...any review of your accomodations?

We bring our trailer (5th wheel) down every time we come. Most probably aren't interested in RV park reviews, but here's a quickie...

We've been to DLR 4 times in the past 5 years. We spent two of those visits at the Anaheim Vacation Park (formerly part of Destiny) which is located about a block from Knotts. It was OK, but it's moot now as they tore it down to make condos.

The other two trips we stayed at Orangeland RV Park (http://www.orangeland.com/) in Orange. They claim "5 minutes from Disneyland", but that must be at 2:00am running all the red lights. :fez: Still, it's just up Katella from DLR and is a very nice park. Some sites are a bit cramped, but we got an awesome site this time and were very happy. Can't beat $300 for an entire week (compared to hotels).

Here is a picture of our truck/trailer/site: Orangeland Site (http://bigalh.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album01&id=D1_HPIM0762)

If anyone has more questions let me know...
