Ok so a few questions here.

I'm heading to Disneyland in mid-February but I was planning to take my girlfriend to her first dinner at the amazing blue bayou.

Problem is, pirates is scheduled for a refurb 2 days before we get there, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Do they keep the bayou open during the referbishment of pirates?

Has anyone been to the park lately? and are the refurbs on schedule?

-Thanks for your help

don't know if they're on schedule, but I do know that they don't keep the bayou open if Pirates is going to be closed. (99.999999999999999 percent sure.)

I love your avatar where it is. It makes me laugh!

Somewhere on the Disneyland Forum is a thread titled "Disneyland Rehab" or something like that. There is a very detailed rehab schedule. I know Blue Bayou will be closed sometime in February - its posted on the schedule.

As far as being on time - IASW opened one day early. (So we could go on it the next day and get stuck.) As of Tuesday, nothing else had re-opened.

The Bayou has to go down with pirates, because if they turn on the Pirates work lights the Bayou lights go on.

That and if they haven't filled it back up yet or are testing it would be rather annoying to the guests.

Well, they could always put up a wall, but that would be ugly.

I was thinking about the noise factor, when they would test the matterhorn you could hear them on the speakers.

I dunno. That avatar kind of freaks me out. Like that dancing baby on "Ally McBeal" or that dancing gnome on "Twin Peaks". Weird, man, weird.

Tell me about it. You should hear how loud Splash is when they use the speakers :)

I can only imagine how loud they really are when they are very clear from ground level (both rides).

After canoe practice in the mornings, one of the things I got a kick out of, for no obvious reason other than the fact that I'm VERY easily amused, was watching them flood Splash each morning :)

Tobaco, there is probably an obvious answer to this, but why do they flood Splash each morning?

Well they don't leave it running all night (if I think I know what he is talking about) so some parts don't get any water in them and... oh heck I don't know where i am going with this.:D

'Cos it wouldn't be a very fun ride if they left it dry :)
