I have read that Walt and Lillian celebrated their anniversary with a private preopening party at Disneyland, before the July 17 press/special preview. Does anyone know - for sure - what date this was? I recall hearing Michael Broggie talking about it as well. Thanks!

They had their 30th anniversary on July 13th. They dinner was held with a bunch of friends, family, and guests on the Mark Twain Riverboat. After the dinner there was a special show at the Golden Horsehoe Revue. I think there were some other things as well planned for that night, but I can't remember what the itenirary for the evening was.

I don't remember the whole story, but I do remember that at one point in the show, Walt climbed down from the balcony (Much to Lillian's horror) and may have danced on stage. He also stood to one side during the show and just gave one of his patented "Walt Grins." :D
