Don't forget the PotC reference in Futurama as well!

"We're whalers on the moon..."

("Address all complaints to the Monsanto Corporation!")

I know Ralph saw it (I was Fixing his computer and doing laundry at MOm and Dads, so we watched it together.)

We both got a big laugh out of it.

The reference was just as good as the Jungle Cruise reference on South Park.

Uhhhhh, those were not men they were chasing. Remember, this was a GAY pride parade.

Yeah, they weren't men. Some of them were very butch women that looked like men, though, so I could see the confustion (I was confused for a moment myself).

"The Simpsons" episode with Itchy and Scratchy Land's TGI McScratchy's (Pleasure Island parody) was good too. In that same episode they rode a Splash Mountain type ride as well.

In another episode they go to Mt. Splashmore and it resembled the Matterhorn w/ water.

Thanks for the link. Too funny.

Mr. Burns' musical number "See My Vest" is a spoof of the "Be Our Guest" musical number from "Beauty and the Beast".

"See my loafers made of gofer, either that our kill my chauffeur".

Something like that.

This is why I shouldn't be gone from the boards too much...i miss great threads like this..

As my brother said I saw the pirates reference and was very amused. The production staff and writers for this show are amazing. Not only do they spoof and reference Disney but also almost every other type of mass media source out there from classic movies and tv shows, to books, politics, and music...I LOVE THE SIMPSONS!!!
