I recomend a shuttle. check with your hotell many have shuttles. They are pretty easy to grab at the airport.
2. Not sure what a photo pass is. We have the annual pass and yes it has your photo on it.
3. Sorry never have taken this tour.

i'd actually recommend a taxi. it will be slightly more expensive for just 2 people (should be ~$30 flat rate), but it's private, so you get to leave on your own time and there aren't any other stops but yours.

photopass is a system that operates in all 4 parks at WDW, where 'professional' photographers will take your photo for you at no charge and it's all tracked through a little card you're given the first time you use it. having the pictures taken is free, but it costs money to order prints from the website (which can have borders added and all that). they also try to prohibit you from copying the photos from the website (although there is a way around that), but the quality is minimal online anyway.

to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a photopass system in place at DLR, but i believe there are spots where you can have your photo taken by a professional at no charge and purchase at a later time should you decide to do so.

i don't know anything about the tour you mention, especially the 'disney escorted' part. i wasn't aware disney offered any external tours, but i know there are many companies that package sidetrips to USH and whatnot into the disney vacation.

I'll agree, the shuttle is cheaper for two than a taxi. If it's more than two than a taxi is the way to go. Also as Disneyfun said, check with your hotel, they may even offer their own private shuttle. :) (Check your PMs btw)

Not sure what the photo pass is either. To reiterate Disneyfun's response, our AP's have a pic but depending on how long you are planning on being at DL you wont be getting an AP

I've never done this tour either, actually never even heard of it. It's a Disney run tour?

Hope you have a wonderful time!!

It's hard to comare all of WDW to our beloved DL, but IMO DL rocks it over WDW's Magic Kingdom. I truly hope it's magical for you :)

The tour is not actually a "Disney escorted" tour. It might be escorted, but will be a tour company, not Disney. I havent been on that tour, but we did do the Univeral Studios one, once. For that tour they gave us vouchers for a bus ride, and our tickets into U.S., but we were on our own while there. I know there are many simular tours that can be added on to a vacation package.

1) With two of us last week, I opted for the Super Shuttle. It was $10 per person, so $20 plus tip. We made two private stops on the way, but it was very quick and efficient. Cab would have been $30 plus tip. If you want to spend the extra $10 and really don't want extra stops, then cab it. Or, for three people, a cab is the same price. But for 1 or 2 people, I vote for shuttle and spending the extra $10 in the park.

2) We didn't get any pics taken this time, so I dunno if they're using the photopass system, per se. BUT, as indicated by bradk, they do have roving photographers at both DL and DCA, usually near the castle at DL [sometimes out front as you enter the gates, too] and near the entry hub at DCA. They used to take your pic and give you a numbered slip, which you could then take to the photo center to view and/or buy your pic. Maybe it's been upgraded to the more sophisticated photopass system, maybe not. But if your main query is because you want to have your pics taken professionally in the park, then that is definitely an option. [not to mention the Splash Mtn and CA Screamin options, as well].

3) No experience on that one. Sorry.

Thanks for all the help! I have a few more questions if anyone can help me.

1. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so I know the shuttle does go there. So my question is how often does the shuttle leave the airport? Every hour or every 30 minutes? I know that I can't wait long!!
2. I am sorry that Disneyland does not offer the photo pass. I just don't want our picture to get bent on our way home.
3. I miss spoke yesterday the "Legendary Los Angeles Tour" is offered through Disney not a Disney tour. The tour was offered in the AAA Disneyland brochure along with several other tours. We are also going to Universal Studios. I hope I did not confuse you to much.
4. Someone said they have Christamas trees for the rooms. Does anyone know how much they cost, and what size are they. Do they sit on the floor or they tabletop?
Thank again!

1) the airbus has a set schedule, but people have said it's not all that reliable. supershuttle generally sits around until they fill up vans, although the vans are limited to 7 people, but there's no telling when they'll actually leave (30 minutes does seem like it'd be a bit long though). in any case, this is why i recommend a taxi for $10-$15 more.

2) this is really simple if that's all you're worried about. just bring a hard container or even a large book that you can keep the photos in so nothing will come into contact with them to damage them.

3) again, it sounds like the tour is more of an AAA thing than Disney, but I could be wrong. i'm not familiar with the AAA offerings.

4) no clue there, sorry

Super Shuttle - leaves every half hour
The DLH does NOT have their own airport/shuttle, so that's out of the question :)
The bus was fun the last time I took it. The driver was a kick and the stops were quick. This time we're taking the shuttle due to a discounted deal. I think the usual round trip (note...not a one way price) is $35/per person. Not sure if that would be cheaper or the same as a taxi.

Last I knew about the Hollywood tours...you sit in a vehicle and see the fronts (read: sidewalk area) of homes that stars may or may not still live in. Cool houses, but no stars to really see. The one I went on showed only the houses that stars USE to live in...years and years ago! Kind of a waste of money.

I believe Rentayenta is who had the Christmas tree in their room...she should have details if this is indeed the case.
Have fun!! :D

I was going to do the Legendary Los Angeles Tour too, but since we are doing three other tours - including the Universal Studios one - and it was going to cost us a bundle of money I am not going to do that tour. Plus it is a 10 hour tour (which does include going to either Venice Beach or Santa Monica beach). I figured we could catch a cab or something and go to the New Port Beach which is only a little ways from the DLH and we would have a choice of how long we wanted to be out. It is going to be my dad, three kids (ages 8, 9 and 13) and me. That would make for a lot of complaining if we are stuck on a bus for the better part of the day.

They do not have photo pass at DL. We enjoyed using the photo pass last December at WDW. We were told that if it is a success at WDW then other parks would use it. It is a bit pricey if you order the pictures. Have a wonderful trip!

1. Should we take a taxi or the shuttle we are flying into SNA/Orange County?
Super Shuttle is $15 per person each way from SNA, I recommend that
2. At Walt Disney World they have photo pass do they have that in Disneyland?
Are you talking about annual passes, if so, then yes.
3. We are going on the Disney excorted "Legendary Los Angeles Tour" has
anyone gone on it before, and what did you think?
Sounds great. I bet it will be nice since this is your first trip to DLR!

Enjoy your vacation!
