What time is everyone getting there to get in line. We were thinking probably around 6 or 7. I just want to make sure we can get in!

That has been the subject of much debate among the group I am going with! We are staying at DLH on the 16th, so at least I don't have to get up and drive in that morning or do a DTD parking shuffle like we did last year, but we have not decided how early to go. I was thinking 6:00 AM, but everyone else says I am crazy for wanting to go that early. Fine, they can sleep in - but I am not letting them in line with me!

We're staying the night of the 16th as well, I'd say we'll probably be there about 0730.

BUt the thing I am worried about is the parking lot!!!

Disneyfun - last year we had that problem on 7/17. We parked in the DTD lot (2 hours free) and then once were in line and then structure was reported to be open one member of the group went to move the car.

I am sure there are better solutions, but this is the one we came up with on the fly last year. Another option would be to pay to park at one of the hotels for the day.

We'll be there for rope drop, whenever that is. Probably park 45 minutes early and walk in, assuming the lines for trams are awful as usual.

We're staying on property that weekend, and we've got a 6am breakfast in the park.

We plan to be there at around 6 am with coffee and muffins in hand. We're staying across the street so we won't have to worry about parking.

I was just talking to My pal and its going to be 6am!
We will be staying at her mom's the night before then heading to the park. Kinda bummed that we couldn't get Club 33 rez for that day :(

when is parking open? we might have to do the DTD shuffle too...

I've edited the thread title; it's referring to July 17th, Disneyland's 50th birthday.

I'll be in line for parking as early as I physically can. On the 5th I got to the lot at 7:30 and was in the Esplanade at 7:45. From where I was in line it took about 20 minutes to get in.

ETA: Park opens at 8 -- I'll be in line at the structure at 7

Thanks! I guess I just assumed people would know!

I'm already in line, so everyone is behind me.

I think I'll try and round up some people at the Star Wars screening tonight. Perhaps if they're willing to wait in line for weeks to see a movie, I could pay them a few bucks to hold my spot at Disneyland on 7/17.

I was thinking like..3 or 4. My mom and I were planning on just sleeping the whole day the 16th so we're awake all night the 17th.
