OK - A little confused here. Are DTD and PP one and the same or are they two different places? And where does DCA fit in to all of that? Also, do I need admission media to get into DTD and/or PP. Either during the day or at night. At WDW you only need media for DTD if going clubbing - is it similar at DL?

Paradise Pier (PP) is an area within DCA themed to CA boardwalks. Since it's within DCA you need admission media to DCA to get there, but there's no separate admission. There are midway-style games that you can play that are not included with admission; you pay per play according to the game.

Downtown Disney (DTD) is similar to WDW's Westside. Shops, restaurants and a movie theater. No admission cost. There is no Pleasure Island area in DL's DTD, so there aren't any dance clubs.
