Since I'm trapped at a computer instead of in the park experiencing things, I'm going to at least make sure you're all aware of it.

We're updating constantly throughout the day, here:

http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm050504as.htm

We'll run anything of interest so if you have good links to stuff about 50th or the events post them here. If you have comments or requests, post them here.

A giant bouquet of thanks to Alex Stroup, Frank Anzalone, and the MousePlanet staff for keeping us up-to-date!

Your coverage makes me almost feel I'm there.

Loving the coverage so far Alex. Thanks. I have been checking back between seeing patients and it is making me feel like I am a part of it, at least in a small way. :)

While I wish you were IN the park ....just cuz that's where all of us wish we were today, I'm glad if you can't be there...you're 'here' keeping us updated as best as is possible :) Thanks!

Yes, eventually. We're mostly flying by the seat of our pants today and tomorrow. Next week will see much more measured coverage which each day focusing in detail on a different element of what has been introduced this weekend or for the 50th.

Hey Alex, I heard that everyone staying at the DLR hotels woke up to free tickets to get into DL today. I guess somebody said they were planning to go to DCA today and woke up to a pleasant suprise! Have you heard anything like this?

Is it possible update the events at the bottom of the page instead of thre top? Otherwise, it means a lot of up-screens and down-screens to read them all at once.
And thank you for the updates.

And thank you for the updates.
But then we have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see if something new has been posted.

Once again an effort was made to make it exciting that Walt Disney World is getting a selection of attractions imported from the other Disney parks (Cinderellabation at Magic Kingdom from Tokyo Disneyland; Soarin' at Epcot from DCA; Lights, Motors, Action at MGM Studios from Disneyland Paris; and Lucky the free-roaming dinosaur).

What made Rasulo's presentation even more entertaining was the background music: "A Spoonfull of Sugar [helps the medicine go down]"

I just want to add my word of thanks to the entire MousePlanet staff for the coverage of today's festivities. I feel like I'm there! Except, I get to do it in air-conditioned, non-crowded splendor.

Okay, they finally sucked me into the merchandising frenzy. I *need* one of those crown plates. I'm serious. :|

quick question....
Did they "unveil" the new Floral arrangement in front?
I think it would be FUNNY to see something like that Alex..

Nope, it has just been out in the open since at least yesterday, if not Monday.

Any word of disgruntled dayguests who some how have not realized DL would be closed today?

A HUGE thank you from Canada to all the MP staff who are keeping us up to date! I agree....I think I want a $30.00 dessert - those plates look so fabulous! Keep up the great work! I look forward to the updates, and, oh yeah, I'm going to find KTLA on the satellite dish so I can watch it in the morning. Wouldn't it be great if Disney installed some live webcams????
