Okay, time to get down to it. Don't know if anyone's done this before, but even if they have, people change their mind, so it'd be good to reevaluate.

List your top 5 attractions (and ONLY 5. I don't want people bailing out by saying "Oh like like these 20 all the same, blah blah. I want commitment!). Disneyland only, not DCA.

Mine:

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Indy
3. Alice (it's sneaking up, but I don't think it'll ever pass Indy)
4. Space Mountain
5. Pirates

1. Indy
2. Peter Pan
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Space Mtn.
5. Haunted Mansion

I don't dare go on....:D

1. Haunted Mansion

after that - I've got a bunch I like a lot - I can't seem to decide on them though.

And after the rest of the dark rides are reopened I have to revisit them. Haven't been of some of them since I was a little girl.

Oh, I'd better add one more restriction. Current attractions only. Not that anyone's gone for Yesterland attractions yet, but just wanted to be sure.

1. Space Mt.
2. Indiana Jones
3. Big Thunder (at night)
4. Splash (it's fourth only because no one will ever go on it w/ me)
5. Pirates (it's all about the Carlos and the well dunking)

There was a struggle between the haunted mansion and the pirates for the fifth place...but in the end pirates edged out mansion for a place on the list.

Carlos! Don't be Cheeeken!!

Yay. Big Thunder at night does indeed beat the pants off of Big Thunder during daylight. At night, even the front is good. You can't see the track, and it sounds like the engine is going to rattle itself to pieces at any moment. Love it.

1. Soarin'
2. MSEP
3. Coke Corner Pianist (so long as it's either Rod or Johnny)
4. Fantasmic
5. Blast!

Or if we limit it to rides:

1. Soarin'
2. Indy
3. Star Tours
4. Space Mountain
5. Roger Rabbit

(with 2-4 actually being pretty much of a 3-way tie)

Close runners-up would be DLRR, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Storybook Land, the Monorail (particularly if I can get a cab seat) and the DCA Animation Building. And I'd put Golden Dreams, Lincoln (either the old one or the new one), and the Boudin Exhibit ahead of Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, the Matterhorn, and the Teacups.

As a child, I used to be an absolute fanatic for both Dumbo and the Peoplemover.

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Space Mountain
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Matterhorn Bobsleds
5. Spash Mountain

I hate to have to list all "E-ticket" attractions and not some of the smaller rides that are truly charming, but these are truly my Top 5.

4. Matterhorn Bobsleds

3. Big Thunder Mtn. Railroad

2. Pirates of the Caribbean

1. Splash Mountain

Thunder
Alice in Wonderland
Space Mountain (if the soundtrack is working)
Storybook Boats
maybe Splash or Matterhorn...

Of course, I hardly ever ride most of these, since they aren't on the collective list of favorites - so this is the list of top five rides we actually ride:
Pirates (again and again and again...)
Mansion
Thunder
Indy
Jungle Cruise

Sorry hbquick, but you're going to have to try again. :D My thread, my rules :p

To repeat: Disneyland only, not DCA. Current attractions only. and 5 ONLY. No "Oh, I might put this instead of that..." or "close runners up." Basically what I'm asking is, if you could only go on 5 attractions (any attraction, not just rides) which would you choose? Simple as that.

ok since the clarification is in place ...

1st.. hands down no question, the Desert Balcony for Fantasmic

2nd...Peter Pan ....I will actually reschedule our visit if this is in rehab!

3rd....Matterhorn.....simple, fun and a classic

4th...Thunder Mt......we love this ride

5th....Splash Mt.

man this was a lot harder than I expected it to be LOL

Sorry hbquick, but you're going to have to try again. My thread, my rules

Then I'd probably:

1. Grab a fastpass for Indy, then rush over and do Star Tours,

2. Hang around the Coke Corner after Star Tours, until my Indy fastpass matured

3. Indiana Jones

4. Grab a Roger Rabbit fastpass, hop on the train, and ride around until the fastpass matured, and

5. Roger Rabbit

:p :p :p

Does the Tiki Room count as an attraction or a show?

"Carlos don't be cheeken" it's favorite part in the Pirates:)

Ghoulish Delight

Shows are attractions.

There are basically 3 classifications:

Attractions: Includes all rides and shows. Afterall, part of what Walt was trying to do was no just make rides, but make rides that were in and of themselves shows. So the park tries to make little distinction between the two.

Shopping: Includes shopping places

Dining: Food

It's funny, after the first few responses, I was afraid this entire thread was going to consist of the following list (in no particular order)

Mansion
Pirates
Space Mountain
Indy
[insert random Fantasyland dark ride]

That's the summary of mine, M4Ms and MMMs. But everyone else's are more diverse.

Not Afraid
01-18-2002, 03:14 PM
1. Haunted Mansion
2. Indy
3. Matterhorn
4. Teacups
5. Pirates

This would be followed closly by Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder at Night, all 5 Fantasyland dark rides.

This would be a much harder list to make if the year was 1983.

I'll give it a shot, here we go.

1. SPACE MOUNTAIN
2. TIKI ROOM
3. MATTERHORN
4. MR. TOAD'S WILD RIDE
5. HONEY I SHRUNK THE AUDIENCE

1: Pirates of the Carribbean (and Carlos too me looks so sad. Can't help but want to jump out of the boat and kick those pirates butts into the well and say "Here Carlos, I'll help you! They're only AA's! We can beat 'em!" But this wouldn't work as Carlos probably doesn't have a waist and he can't kick or run. He can only look like he's drowning. No other qualities. Yes, this is what I think everytime I ride the ride. I think my favorite part is the canonball scene because when I was little I was always scared I would get hit. Ok, maybe I need therapy.

2: Haunted Mansion

3: Splash Mountain

4: Space Mountain

5: Peter Pan

I only have 3

1. Big Thunder
2. Mr. Toad's
3. Space Mt. (with all lights turned on) <-- kicks boo-tay!
Indy
Haunted Mansion
Matterhorn (Left Side)
Splash Mountain
Tiki Room
Jungle Cruise
you said 6 right? I thought so. This list would be followed closely by every ride at Disneyland with the exception of Innovention.

Splash Mountain
Pirates of the Carribbean
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Disneyland Railroad
Sailing Ship Columbia

Wow, this is a tough one.

1. Matterhorn at night, on the Tomorrowland side
2. Indiana Jones
3. Space Mt.
4. Pirates
5. If it's hot, Splash Mountain, and if it's cold, Mansion wins this spot.

This answer can easily change with my mood.....or with riding the same rides every time we go.....so don't hold me to it!
