Yesterday had to be the strangest day I have ever had at Disneyland. I'm only 24 years old and live in Hollywood, CA. People out here, Friends etc, always seem to know people and realy can suprise you as to the people they know and the things they can pull off. For weeks some of my friends and myself have been planning to go to Disneyland. The day before we are suppose to go a buddy of mine says to me "I have a friend that is going to be joining us." I was exicted, the more the merrier. Get picked up by my friend and we head down to the park. On the hour drive down my friends bud asks what good restaurants are in the park. Me being the Disney person start listing them off. Napa Rose, Blue Bayou, Catal, Ralph Brennans, etc and so on. Then of course I have to say Club 33 but you can't get in, Members only. Everyone in the car was clueless as to what club 33 was. I go into a detailed explanation and everyone thinks it would be the coolest place to go to, but of course Members only. My friends friend takes out his cell phone and makes a call to some Disney Exec he knows in Burbank and tell him we want to eat at Club 33. In my mind I'm thinking, Not going to happen. 10 minutes later he gets a call back. Reservation at 7 for 6 people. HOLY CRAP!!! I have eaten at the Club a few times, but only for lunch and it's always taken me a few months to get in. To get in like that just blew my mind. Now about 25 minutes later he gets another call. "What time do you think you will be arriving to the park?" We were about 15 minutes away. "Go to the Grand Californian Hotel and a Disney Guest Rep will meet you and you can park there" So I direct my bud to the GC and the valet takes the car. We are greeted by a Guest Service CM. The girl welcomes us and tells us how happy she is we came today. Then she direct us through the GC and walk with us to the parks. On the way she starts handing things out. These are your admission tickets for today, park hoppers of course. She asked if we wanted to have drink at the GC or DLH or any where in the park. I suggested wine at the Vineyard room, so she said she would set something up for around 5 o'clock so we would have time to relax before Club 33. Finally she gave us passes to bypass all lines. We just show them to the CM and we could enter any ride with out waiting. HOLY CRAP again. This can't be happening. How can just a ordinary DL trip turn into all of this? After she thanked us again we were off on my strangest day at Disneyland....(To Be Cont...)

And then you woke up, right?

If this is all true, then good for you! I can't wait to hear more. Who on earth at Disney did your friend's friend know to get you all these perks?

wow, your so lucky, i cant believe you got reservations that quick! when we had our friends make reservations to the club (we had 2 lunch reservations) it took them something like 3 months or so to get the reservations finalized, amazing how you could get reservations on such short notice!

I have to work now, but will tell the rest when I get back. It was not a dream, but I do have to say through out the day I kept saying to myself "This just can't be happening" I usually am really talkative and was so quiet because i was in shock most of the day.

Ok so, We enter DCA and hit Soarin. We show are pass, the CM gets on the phone and calls some and in a few seconds another CM appears and escorts us into the loading area of the ride before others are let in. This happens at all rides we go to. So we hit every ride and honestly do DCA in a couple hours. Next as we are about to leave the park The friends friend gets another call the person asks us where we are. He told him we were about to leave DCA and go to DL. So the person told us he was going to have some one meet us at City Hall, so we head over to DL. We enter the park and head over to city hall. Standing out front is a guy in a suit and he recognizes us right away. I have no clue how. The gentleman welcomes us to DL and asked how our day was so. Everything was going great. He then said that if we would like we could have a escort around the park that would point out some interesting details and assist us with getting on rides. I was all for it, but the other three told he thank you but no. So the gentleman, who I started to think was a manager of Disneyland told us to have a great time, and again thanked us for coming to the park. We headed down main street and started to hit some rides. Finally it came time for us to go to Club 33. We go to Club 33 and get buzzed in. One of my favorite things is getting buzzed in. I love the reaction of the crowd as they try to get a glimpse inside. Everyone was really excited to go in and I let them all cram into the elevator as I walked up to meet them. As soon as I got up there it was the Club Manager waiting to greet us. He welcomed us to the Club and gave us the full tour before we were seated. As we walked towards the dinning room he told us he had taken the liberty to set up a nice area for us to have some cocktails before dinner. So he escorted us to a window and took us out to the patio. There were 6 chairs set up and a few small tables for our drinks. We sat out there for about 30-45 minutes enjoying our cocktails and watching the crowd stare and point at us. Finally it was time for the meal. By this time we were all loving Club 33. As we were seated the waiter, who was unbelievable, told us the chef was creating a great menu for us this evening. We were not handed menus but told that we would be having a six course meal. None of us complained about that. First was Amuse Bouche of Asiago Blue cheese on a crumpet and Scallop with Caviar. Next we had a great salad of Raspberry Vinaigrette and cranberries. Next course was a Rib-eye in a port wine reduction. Then after that was a Venison Chop crusted in mustard and drizzled with a chocolate sauce. The cheese course came after than, then The last course we sat patiently waiting for....(To be continued)

Derrik-- I am so EXCITED for you!!! Tell ME more about Club 33!!! I am so jealous! Who is this friend’s connection? I'm not asking for a name, just curious if he was a CEO, VicePres, Imagineer or something. (Hmmm... my uncle is a multi-millionaire in the L.A. area... never thought to ask him if he has company privileges...)

yeah we went while at DCA it was cool. Just sat outside and had a bottle of wine, nothing really special. Not like what happend to us at Club 33. Honestly with getting to jump to the head of the line we breezed through the parks so quick and there isn't much to say about that.
