Here's a lengthy refurb list that I pulled off of the Intercot West board of everything scheduled for the next few months. My understanding is it is from a castmember bulletin or something like that? The computer system maybe, I don't know, I just paste here :)
I'm particularly pleased to see that it shows Fantasmic as returning Summer 2002 :D

Sleeping Beuty's Castle is only being refurbed?.... Yeah... you have made me so happy... I thought it was closed for good.

I can't wait till it is re-opened....

I can't believe how many rides are going to be closed at one time. :( My upcoming trip in March is my first (likely my only) visit to DL and I will be missing both Space and Splash :(

I am assuming the second date is the last day of the scheduled refurb? Hopefully I will get to see Pirates and eat at BB on my last day, March 16th.

Mim - notice the Blue Bayou closure dates - conflict with Sparkey's BD?

All of these rehabs are making the park as mess! Fantasyland is very difficult to walk through. You have to go all the way around the back side of Dumbo to get to the parade route/tomorrowland. NOS is desolate. They won't even let you go past the HM once the Canoes close. And my favorite coffee cart in the Hub is missing! I'm just grateful I see it all year long.

Sparky is really looking forward to having her B-day Dinner there.... Now what?

I guess I could take her to charecter Breakfast and do B-Day dinner two weeks later... but that just blows...

What other great resturants are there for her? DCA... any there taht are nice...? But no... she and I have a sentamental attatchment to the Blue Bayou.... AGHHH

Yeah, but for EIGHT months?

I'm really suspicious about that. It's far too reminicent of the whole "we're taking the Subs away to Imagineer a whole new exciting attraction" fiasco.
*shudder*

If you are really ticked off about it, or would like to play the system, go to Guest Relations and tell them your saga, and really emphasize this is her favorite restaurant, that you always come down there, and you didn't know it was going to be closed. The GR CM will then intern prolly give you free passes to come back when it is reopened to make themselves look good.

I know, I know, that doesn't solve anything for the actual day, but hey, I am not a miracle worker... just a poor shmo that sits around all day getting paid top dolla.

Try it out. ENJOY!

Hey everyone... thank you so much for your suggestions.

Not Afraid reminded me yesterday that DTD has a Rainforest Cafe... duh... how could I forget, she and I have only been there 3 times.

I can even make a reservation for a special B-Day table.

I also got to talk with a Parade of the Stars coordinator yesterday who told me exactly how to get her in the parade that guests are randomly chosen for. So all in all I think the day will go great. And then she and I will go two weeks later just her and I, and I will see if they will be willing to sing her "a very marry un-birthday because we were close on your B-day" song. :D

I say she and I will go two weeks later as if were not going to be going ten times in between...

Thanks for putting all this together. I'll print it out for my Disneyland folder.
