I will be at the park this coming Saturday, the 23rd. I was wondering if anyone knows whether there will be fireworks demos for the new show by any chance? Thanks a lot!

We just got back today 4/19 and last night about 9:30 p.m. they did a complete "dress rehearsal" of the new fireworks. The park closed at 7 p.m. and we stayed in the Grand Californian with the Downtown Disney view and we watched the show from our balcony. You could hear the music in the background. I'm not sure because of the trees that partially obstructed our view, but it appeared that the new Tinkerbell was also rehearsing her flight.

The show was beautiful and I cant wait to see it in the park when we go next month.

As for seeing a dress rehearsal of the fireworks this Saturday, I would not count on it if the park is open until midnight. It appears that they are only testing the fireworks during the weeknights from what I've read online.

Previous tests have been at times between 9 and 10 PM, with the park closing at 8 PM. I would agree with Spazz that it's unlikely that they will test on a Sat. Hopefully one of the pyro people we have lurking about will confirm it though. :)

I saw the show tonight from my hotel across the street. Tinkerbell was flying all over the place!

I can't wait to see this from INSIDE the park!

WOW! :D

I want to see this new Tink flight so bad. Is this how she will fly for now on or is it just a 50th thing?

i'd be willing to bet it's permanent. the money invested in the flight system is substantial enough that it'd be an absolute waste to dismantle it in a couple of years. i think the 50th just provided the excuse and an excellent opportunity to change things for the better.
