Or has the Sumarine Lagoon water level dropped a little. I went to Disneyland on the 12th and and noticed the Lagoon seemed different. One of the reasons is one of the coral reefs rock pieces was sticking out of the water when I know that it shouldn't. Is this a sign of things to come?

Ah ha, so people HAVE been taking my advice and drinking straight out of the lagoon instead of paying $2.50 for a Coke. Right on.

They may have just gotten a little too overzealous with pumping out excess water; we've been getting quite a bit of rain this year.

It was us. after a 6 day visit we kinda drained it. I packed straws.

When the attraction was operational, wasn't that water cleaner than tap water anyway? I can't see tap water being that transparent.

According to a 1983 Official guide I have, the water was 25 times clearer then tap.

I heard that if the lagoon was drained of water, the matterhorn would collapse. Is this true?

That doesn't make any sense to me. How would the water be keeping the matterhorn? I think this is just another disney rumor.

i've heard that before too. i'm almost positive it's not true. they just re-did the pipes and stuff around the Matterhorn, which were prety old. i'd be more worried about it colapsing b/c of the old rusty pipes than an empty lagoon. if anything, the water keeps the sides of the lagoon from caving in (like what happened at ground zero in the parking garage). i'll look in some of the books i have and see if i can find a better answer for you! :D
