Okay, you all know that you can't take glass bottles through the security check-points at the DLR, right? (Well, if you didn't you do now.)

But did you also know that if you buy a souvenir made of glass or containing glass that they'll also give you a hard time about it? That's right. They'll sell you glass, but if you leave the park and go to, say...Downtown Disney, then try to return to the park with the glass item you bought in the park...not gonna happen. (By the way, there's a lot of glass stuff sold throughout the park.)

We bought a glass snow globe in the Main Street Emporium yesterday just before leaving the park. My wife wanted to make one more stop in the World of Disney in DTD before heading back to the hotel across Harbor. So, with snow globe in hand (thoroughly wrapped and still in the bag) she leaves the "security" of the park and heads to DTD. In order to get to the hotel she has to go back through security. They weren't going to let her through until she explained that she has to get back to her hotel and that she's just going to be going straight through. Security finally let her in but with the strict instructions to "just go straight through."

For the first trip ever I saw security making people take their drinks/snacks and check them into the lockers at the picnic area.....it seems they are tightening up on a few things.
