It may be a little early for this, but here goes.
We just celebrated Walt's 100th, and everyone seems to think that the next big celebration will be the parks 50th in 2005.
But is there not a certain character who turns 75 in 2003? This does not relate to Disneyland per-say, but is anything being planned?

If they cant put together a decent celebration for the founder of the Company, I doubt any character is going to get any major recognition.

Sad....??

MM's big birthdays have ALWAYS received better treatment at the Park than have Walt's birthdays or even Disneyland's birthdays. I think it's more "promotable" an event, and so - historically - there have been bigger celebrations for important mouse birthdays than for important founder birthdays or self birthdays.

Whether we can predict the future based on that, who knows?

Will there be anything extra special specifically on the birthday (mine, too!)?

I have no idea, but I'll be there nonetheless because by that time I will be able to drive (!)

Well I wonder if they are going to give cake away like the 40th anniversary (I think they did it for afew years afterwards but whatever) or are they going to sell the cake by marketing it as "cute".

They'll probably do Toontown up, and have maybe a temporary "Happy 75th Birthday Mickey" attraction... isn't that how the concepts for TT began?? Mickey's Happy Birthdayland?
