I don't believe that is a press release. I think it's MouseInfo content. Press releases are worded differently - and come from Disney.

Is that a reliable source? That particular post looks very not-Official.

That's a Very reliable source, and it looks like they're on schedule to get it open by the July 17 weekend. I do not doubt they will do whatever it takes to have it open for the 50th Anniversary, because it's the foundation for Tommorowland, regardless of the new Buzz D-Ticket. Space Mtn. is the E-Ticket they need to showcase one of Walt's original lands during the celebration.

I stand corrected. It is a mouseinfo document, not a press release. Sorry for the erroneous wording on my part.

-SteveI just checked with Disney, and Matt Oiumet is holding a "State of the Resort" meeting with local officials today. If there are any announcements to share from that, I'll post them as soon as we have them.

I have a friend that is on the "building crew" and they are telling me July 17 or earler. The only reason it would not open at that time is because of stupid DOSH!

Please do! I'm crossing my fingers, as we will be there the 18,19 and 22 of July and I've never been on SM before.

I am almost possitive it will be open by then. Unless DOSH goes nuts about something.

Mouseinfo originally stated there would be a "special announcement from the Disneyland Resort at 11:00 a.m. pacific time Friday". It looks like they went ahead and put out their own announcement earlier. I'm wondering if the annoucement and Matt's meeting go hand in hand. I don't doubt MI's reliability and hopefully we'll see an official release sometime today.

Drat. I'll be visiting for the first time in 3 years in May, so I wasn't expecting to go on the refurbbed Space Mountain anyway, as I was expecting it to reopen in November, but if it's opening in July....well, just....just "drat".
