We are going in April and we want to get So Cal Select Annual Passes. We do not live in California, is it still possible to buy without California Resident.

you can move to socal. otherwise, no. the price break exists for socal people because they want socal people to have it, not so out of towners can try to find ways to cheat the system. sad, but true.

The point of the southern california AP is to pull local residents in during the off season so the attendance numbers are buffed up so it looks like the parks are getting great business. It looks good on paper for the investors.

Try it if you want... make sure to take a piece of mail addressed to you at a SoCal address... do you have any friends or relatives who live there? If so, just send something to yourself at their address and take that along when you go to buy your AP. DO NOT count on them letting you purchase one though!!! Be prepared to purchase another form of entry just in case. You never know what the CM that you get will allow, or whether they are tightening controls at any particular time. They were not restricting the passes at all last time I checked, but you WILL need to use a SoCal address on the application, you may not need proof (like the piece of mail).

i think it's more like they want to encourage socal people to buy the passes because once they have the pass, they have more of a reason to go to the park on any inparticular day of the year, although probably moreso off season. locals won't be hardpressed to try to get everything done in a day. they'll take their time in the parks knowing they can always come back another day. and what that really amounts to is revenue for the parks by selling locals food and whatever other forms of entertainment.

attendance for the parks at any time of the year would be severely handicapped if not for locals. the casual tourist will flock to WDW for obvious reasons.
