We are tentatively scheduled to visit Disneyland the first week of November. Does anyone know if Space Mountain will be up and running by then  . I would hate to miss it :( . It is our favorite ride of all time

there's been no date specified, although it's highly rumored (and even in the official disneyland guide) that it might be open by the 50th anniversary on july 17th, but also rumored to not be likely due to unforseen issues.

my gut feeling is, regardless, the attraction will probably be open long before november. it's kind of hard to gauge exactly when a 2 year project will be completed, but it takes a certain amount of confidence to publicly issue any sort of enddate. essentially, you can look at this way: if disney re-opens it in october, everyone is ecstatic since they weren't expecting it to be operating at all. if it runs into december, there will be a lot of backlash because there's no doubt that there are people planning trips around it, so a pubished enddate should really be a 'worst-case scenario' option.

in either case, i'm sure it's going to be reopened with quite a bit of fanfare.

I too am a Space Mountain fan and I know what you mean. Originally it was supposed to open on May 5th but the date is still being pushed back. You can always check the Disneyland calendar to see when it should open though.

I just checked the calendar but it won't let me see whats open past June 9th. So I'm guessing everyone's right about it reopening June 17.

It seems someone starts this thread with the exact same question every two weeks or so.

#5Hey, wait - I think I've missed something. What are questions 10 and 11?

I think 10 refers to "CM Matt" and then 11 - wild guess, what sediment actually does while in the park?

#11 is the attractions that don't operate in inclement weather.

Wait, Big Thunder operates in the rain? And Astro Orbitor?

Edit: I know you guys don't typically have the ocean itself being unleashed like we do on this coast (we even shut the covered Jungle Cruise boats down in rain most times) but those in the rain don't sound fun.

Yup, Yup! Did 'em both last time I was there in torrential downpours.

Hehe, maybe not being as high in the air they're not as worried about it being hit by lightning. I guess it could be fun - very wet.

Speaking of Tomorrowland - did the old Peoplemover stay open in rain? WDW's has open top vehicles but with a roof all along the route.

Good question... I have no clue! The only time I've ever had rain at DL was 2 years ago. :-/

I think each vehicle had a roof. Rocket Rods could not run in the rain, IIRC.

Correct, but you have to phrase the question in the form of a question.
"Who dubbed him Mr. Ouimet, 'Cast Member Matt,' and why?

It will open, ONLY if you will it, and believe so. So, kind ladies and gents, children of all the world, you better start applauding.

(sorry, I just got through Shakespeare's The Tempest in school.)

Correct again, but I must caution you to phrase your questions in the form of a question.

I trying to create a standard number of times (and during what period of time)a question has to be asked before it's "frequently asked." Currently, the standard is my thinking, "Gee, that question is asked a lot."

so how many times does someone have to ask what #10 and #11 are before they become #12 and #13?

People don't normally ask about the answers. The "Association for Volleyball Professionals" is not all that normal.

There was a long discussion about #7 a few months ago.
"Would sediment divorce his wife and marry me?" is not the correct, though it is frequently asked, question.

It was never planned to open on May 5th. If anything it was planned to open in 2006. They have said Novemeber 5th from the start.

I'm thinking "what is MouseAdventure" should be qualifying soon, though that question only shows up on a seasonal basis.
