Has anyone ever been in line or stood next to someone who was stating some crackpot theory to their significant other/friend/relative as absolute truth? Some of them can be pretty funny.

For example, while exiting Blast!, I overheard the guy behind me talking about the TOT construction site with his girlfriend. With all confidence in his voice, he says "Yeah, it's going to be opening this summer. They're rushing to build it as fast as possible." I couldn't resist, so I turned around and gently corrected him, saying it wouldn't be open til '03 at least. He just looks at me and says "Oh, that's what they originally planned, but they've moved the schedule up."

I've also heard one person in the entrance line for DL telling their friend that there were metal detectors hidden in the turnstiles. I couldn't help but laugh at that one, since there's nothing in there but ticket handling machinery and a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol, for cleaning the metal :)

Has anyone else heard anything similar whle in the parks?
