Have fun!!! :) Take advantage of Whitewater Snacks, the awesome lobby action (we hung out there and ordered drinks one night before eating at Storytellers), and cozy up at the fireplace.

Enjoy!!! :)

I am going to be there later in Feb. Which room type did you get?

If you have children there is storytelling by the great hearth in the evenings.

Nicest thing abt GCH is it is so darn close. Especially to DCA!

we just got a standerd room with 2 queen beds becuase there will only be 4 of us. However my bestfriends parents are going and they got a suite, so i cant wiat to see that. No kids here, but storytelling sounds good. :) i have heard wondeful things about whitewater snacks, so we will check that out. Does anyone know if Mr. Lincon is still open at DL? if it is we may stop in there, since we will be heading to DL to get my Boyfriend a "Captian Dan" hat.

Check www.riderefurbs.com to find out what attractions might be closed. I think I read that Mr. Lincoln would be closed from February 22-April 16. Dates are subject to change. If you are going in 10 days, it will probably still be open. Have a great time. I would LOVE to see the inside of a suite someday so I can compare!

I hear the upgrade to a DTD view is worth it. I booked one of those and was upgraded to a Themepark and kinda got spoiled. Everytime I would come into my room I would open up the balcony doors to let the fun of the park come into the room! LOVED it.

Enjoy it! Ride GRR, get wet and then rush back to get changed and jump in the hot tub to warm up. Hang out at the Hearthstone Lounge - we ordered drinks one night and enjoyed them in front of the fire:)

Have Fun, Queen Alisha! I just spent the weekend at the GC and it was awesome. With the rain on Saturday we spent some time by the fireplace--so cozy! My girls loved it--especially the storytelling and nightly turndown with chocolates. You will be spoiled so beware...but enjoy!

Where is the lounge?

The lounge of the Grand Californian Hotel is the lobby. It's reminiscent of Yosemite's Awanee and Yellowstone's Inn: enormous fieldstone fireplace, lots of places to sit, relaxed atmosphere.
