I'm curious when the majority of people have their winter and spring breaks. I'm hoping I'll get lucky and my school will have a not so common period off.

In general, the busiest time of year for winter breaks is the week between Christmas and New Year's. The crowds will continue to build the latter half of December and will quickly dissipate after the first week of January. Spring break is a little more staggered, but in general March and April tend to be busy; you'll need to check to see when Easter is this year.

By winter break I meant a February break. The December break has always been known as our Holiday break. Sorry for the confusion.
