A friend of mine says that the externior of IASW was once painted blue. As I can only find pictures of a white/gold color scheme and I have no memory of an all-blue IASW, I say that she's wrong.

Can anyone settle this bet? Thanks.

yes, it was blue and white at one point.

Was it just white and blue? I thought it was white, blue, pink, and a light purple.

I think it was during the eighties that the clock portion was given a "blue and white" color scheme. Then, in the nineties, around the time of the opening of Toontown, the entire facade was given the "pastel" treatment. (A ride operator friend of mine said it looked like someone had rubbed Lucky Charms marshmallows all over it). At some point since then, they reverted back to the current white and gold.

Looks like I lost the bet... at least partially. So the facade was blue and white at one time, which I don't recall seeing. I do remember the pastel color scheme.

Thanks to everyone who replied! This forum rocks.

You can kinda see the old blue and white (with gold) color scheme on this 1966 Small World Guidebook cover:

Wish it were clearer, but it's the only one I could find online.
