Well, it was expected, Universal Studios Hollywood raised its price to $10 a couple of months ago, and Disney finally matched the price. So far, no change in the AP price for a parking pass.

I don't care as long as I have my Free Parking pass with my Annual Passholder card. :)

I feel the parking prices are soooooo rediculous..I mean a guest will spend soooo much $$ at the park anyways..parking shouldnt be that expensive at any theme park

I agree that the prcies are ridiculous. I even sent an e-mail to Disneyland asking why the prices were raised when Disneyland itself has more than enough money. I did get a response, tell me if you think it is justified.

Thank you for your e-mail to the Disneyland Resort.

It is never an easy decision to raise our prices; however, we believe
that the prices at the
Disneyland Resort realistically reflect the costs involved in
presenting a quality "show" to our
Guests. We also believe that the entertainment, food, merchandise, and
attractions offered are the
best available for the prices charged. Any change in the Disneyland
Resort prices is made after
thorough research of the quality and price of our product versus that
of the local market. Please be
assured that we have shared your comments with our leadership team,
along with the appropriate
management, as feedback such as yours is taken very seriously.

As you may know, when Disneyland park opened in 1955, it featured only
17 attractions, today, more
than 48 years later, we are able to offer our Guests more than 60 world
class attractions and
adventures. Additionally, the Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney
World Resort opened with just 23
attractions; today, the Magic Kingdom features 32 attractions and 7
exhibits. Disney's Animal
Kingdom Theme Park opened in 1998 with 5 attractions, 9 exhibits and 12
live entertainment shows.
Since opening day, Kali River Run, the Maharaja Jungle Trek and the
Flights of Wonder show has been
added to their offerings. As you can see, all of our theme parks grow,
evolve and change.

This will certainly be the case with Disney's California Adventure. In
fact, since our opening, we
have added Flik's Fun Fair, inspired by the Pixar movie "A Bug's Life,"
in "a bug's land." We are
also proud to present "Disney's Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular" at the
Hyperion Theater. In 2004,
we began taking our Guests to a whole new dimension of fear as The
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
opened in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. As we speak, new attractions
and entertainment is being
planned for the near future. It is, however, important to keep in mind,
all information is subject
to change without notice. Again, we sincerely apologize for your
disappointment and appreciate your
patience as Disney's California Adventure continues to grow, just as
did each of our predecessors.

While I agree 10 bucks for parking sucks, it's in line with what other theme parks charge....here in the Bay area, the parking at Marine World has been 10 bucks for the last couple of years and it's NOT any where near a Disney level experience.

Hmmph. Mickey better be washing my car for 10 bucks. j/k

Parking at most places is expensive so I'm glad that it took Disney awhile before hitting the double digits.

It's only ten bucks to park at DL? I always stay across the street and walk in so I had no idea. I thought it was more expensive. As someone else posted Marine World here in nor.Cal has charged ten dollars for several years and they have one of the crummiest parking lots I've ever seen that's about 3/4 of a mile from the main entrance and you have to walk by stinky trash to get there! ( we don't go there anymore, it has become a very yucky place)

In the lot of whatever hotel I'm staying at. Free parking is a must before I book. We pick the best deal at a S. Harbor hotel and walk in. I think it's actually closer than the DL parking lot, (I don't really know since I've never parked there) and we never have to wait for a tram. Works great for us.

I still think the price is reasonable compared to all the other entertainment options in the area. Compare it to a day of skiing or even an evening at a major sporting event (NBA, NFL, heck even college sports cost major $$$ at times).

My BIL runs a parking lot over a 1/4 mile from Bank One Ballpark and it costs $5-$10 to park there for a 4 hour ballgame depending on if anything else is happening downtown that same day (and there are no tram rides or covered parking). It is really miserable walking that far to the ball park in 110 degree heat. The covered parking garage runs $8-12.
